The true artist finds life in life. Greatness is illuminated through those who live passionately, who offer their gifts generously, and who color their paths amidst the roadblocks, the dilemmas, and the ever-pressing force of society’s stare. The artist’s life is not glamorous, for they are greeted with every emotion every day, and nothing in this world could be so tormenting. The glory comes as they learn to take that inward desire for the sole purpose of creation. It is not enough to be touched by passion. It is not enough to harbor divinity. It is not even close to enough to reject your vulnerability, and then not to make sacrifices. Sacrifice yourself, your passion-your soul, and lay it into the hands of society, and if your art is truly great, it will stir up every emotion you had embodied once before. If there is no controversy, and you do not provoke inward battles, you have not created life. A genuine artist creates life, sacrifices life, and gives life, to lives.
