Its me again..FINALLY
I am really bad at updating this in the summer. I don't even know if anyone reads this..well I think a few of you do. But I like writing about what I'm up to because its fun to go back and read my old entries. Anyways..this summer has been full of changes. I've made tons of new friends and so I hang out with a whole different crowd..well of course some of the same friends who I love are there! And I've started hanging out with really old friends who I haven't hung out with in a long time which is very cool. I've matured a lot. I don't get upset with drama as much and I've realized that if I need to get something done- I need to do it myself. I've accepted the fact that I am the "planner" in my group of friends. lol. And I've accepted the fact that sometimes you grow apart from people. And yes its hard but its life. And if you were meant to be with them..you would be with them. People change- not always in a bad way but they just change. I guess this has been my "thinking summer." I've thought a lot about life and my relationships and my family and where I want to go. And as scary as it was- I faced a lot of things that I usually would be too afraid to think about. My family has changed a lot too. My parents told me this summer that I need to start being more independent. They told me I had to get two jobs and start paying for more things and start planning my life. I am not one of the spoiled kids in Alpharetta! lol. I don't think I really ever was but still..mommy and daddy aren't paying for everything anymore! And its been hard..but I like it. I guess I should just say that I've grown this summer and realized a few things. I realized that my parents will always be there but that I'm pretty much on my own now, I've realized that being in a relationship for a year and a half is really hard but so worth it, and I've realized who my true friends are and who the type of friends I need to be spending my time with are. :)
That is the end of my "wise" ramblings and now its time to talk about the CRAZZZZZY times of SUMMER '06!!
So there is NO way I will remember all that I have been up to since my last entry cause..I'm not that amazing. But there have been some really really fun times.
One night Wes and I met up with Ashley, her bf Chase, Alisha, and Amy to go to Wild Bills. That is one crazy place! Some of the dancing was..well not dancing but I knew it was gonna be like that. Wes and I had never really danced together in a club so that was a new experience. We got in the car afterwards and I was like, "Was I ok?" and he was like "Yeah, was I okay?" haha. It probably looked funny with a 6'4 guy and a 5'4 girl dancing together. Oh well we had fun and didn't care what other people thought.
Brandon planned a camping trip at Lake Allatoona. It ended up being a two night trip with driving back and forth to Roswell a couple of times. It was quite the adventure. With canoing in the middle of the lake when it was dark outside, all of our stuff getting soaking wet twice because of rain storms, and other..fun activities. haha. It was just me, Wes, Cara, and Brandon but we had a blast. And there are many funny stories to share.
My family and I finally celebrated Fathers Day with a family trip to the Braves vs Marlins game. My dad, sister, and I all have crazy work schedules- especially my dad- so this was the first time we could all spend some time together. It was really nice and my sister and I gave my dad his gift- money for a beer at the game! lol.
Last Saturday was the Mville reunion. Chrissy, Lindsay, and Jason all drove to the ALP and stayed at my house. It was so much fun to hang out with Chrissy and LIndsey cause they make me laugh so hard! I can't wait to go back to mville and hang out with them more often! And Wes, Andrea, Amethyst, Lauren, and Sandi all drove over for the evening. We went swimming despite some thunder storms, ate pizza, told stories from the past year, took pictures, and laughed a lot. It was great getting as many people together as we could and I still can't believe that I am going to be heading back to school in a week and a half! This summer has FLOWN by!
My little sister bought a car last week. It is a 1997 Camry and she loves it! She named it Lars and its a blueish green color. She has already put abortion bumper stickers all over the back of it- saying save our innocent humans and rock for life. This supports my prediction that she will be a nun someday..
The governor Sonny Perdue will be coming to the Schoolbox on Friday to support his teacher gift cards. And I will be working that day! It is very cool but its going to be crazy..well the store is already crazy so it will just be caos! We are letting teachers shop early and put their stuff on hold in the back until they can use their cards this tax free weekend and our back room is just a maze with bags everywhere! I work with this girl Kelsey and my boss Bonnie gave us a HUGE sharpie to label the bags and we both got so high! She couldnt' stop laughing and I couldnt' figure out how to put the stuff in the bags..crazy times at the Schoolbox!
I was also informed that a former manager at Pump It Up had a crush on me..and yeah he was 27! WOAH....
All my friends have been on very cool trips this summer. Jessie went to the Czech Republic, Jason went all over Europe, Daniel just got back from Greece, and Kristen is in Italy and Spain- I think..all I know is that they should have brought me with them! :)
Trivia nights have been fun too..this Monday we won money at the Snooty Fox again. We just don't know when we're gonna be able to spend it cause that was the last week we're going this summer.
Last night Daniel and I drove to Thomas's and met up with him, Cara, Brandon, and Wes. They all got a little crazy..and Daniel and I watched a laughed. That day they had brought Wes's pool table to the Grove and were very proud of themselves for getting it into the apt! I cannot wait to move in! Today is my "organize college stuff" day. I can't wait to set up everything- its going to be so much fun! :)
