Is it just me, or does something smell like failure?

I don't know why, but I just feel like lately it's been one discouragement after another. It's nothing that I can't handle, but I mean, after a while, things just start to build up. First, it was my car dying, then it was me getting sick, then I almost got beaten up by a two fat ass girls, and then my car gets towed. I feel like I'm losing touch with all of my friends because I am either at work or doing homework all the time. And when I'm not doing that, I just want to sleep. Last night, I was actually excited because I was going to go to Becky's 21st birthday party. Her friends all pitched in over 100 dollars each, and I guess they ended up spending more than a grand on this party for her. They had a two story beer bong, ice luge, 5 shot challenges, and best of all ... a BOUNCY CASTLE!!!! You know, one of those things that you bounce around in that they have at like school carnivals? Well, first of all, I had to work last night, and I was the second one to come in, so that meant that I'd be the third one cut. Well, turns out, this Megan girl I work with had a friend who had died or gotten seriously injured in a car accident or something, so she was gone for the week and Nan and Matty had been trying to find someone to pick up her shifts. I guess they couldn't find anyone to pick up her closing shift for last night, and they decided to move Jules from call ahead (where she comes in last and gets cut first) to closer but didn't bother to tell her. So she came in to work and found out she was closing. She wasn't too happy. She has to close tonight too I guess and she feels really sick and has a ton of homework to do, so understandably, she was pretty ticked that no one even bothered to tell her. Well, I felt bad and told her I would close for her because I was just planning on going to Becky's after work, and I figured, what's another hour or so? Well, I got out of work around 11:30, got home, changed and went to pick up Nick and Laura and Jean. I parked where I always park over at Jean's, which is across from her car in the carports. I called Becky to find out which house her parties at, and she tells me that the cops are there at the moment and that she'll call me back when things die down. So I go inside and we hang out for a while. Becky hasn't called back about an hour later, and everyone looks like they're getting tired, but Alex had called me and said he had a few people over, so I say goodbye and walk out to head over there. Well, as soon as I walk outside, I look for my car, and it's GONE. Turns out, they tow there from 6 pm to 4 am, even though there aren't any signs ANYWHERE.

By this point, I'm just super bummed out and all I want to do is go home and crawl into bed. So much for my fun night out. I ended up paying 85 bucks to get it out. SOOOOOO TICKED!

To add to all the mayhem, I lost my voice, AGAIN, so now when I'm at work and I have to talk to people, I have to resort to simple hand gestures to get my point across. Grrr. Anyway, I should probably end this rant and go do homework and clean since my group is coming over later tonight. Hope everyone else had a fun-filled weekend. Sorry I'm so down on myself right now ... give it a few days, I'll be back to my normal cheery self.
