Once reading what he had written down I exited the room without a moments hesitation. Gunn needed a nurse...then a nurse is exactly what he would get.
I didn’t have to go far before spotting one just as she had picked up a new chart at the front desk.
“You’ll do fine.” Walking up to her I took the chart out of her hands and set it back down in its designated slot. Taking her by the arm I coax her down the hall straight for Gunn’s room. She started to protest but didn’t manage to get much in before I had shoved her into the room.
“Now, he’s in pain...you do your thing and put an end to that, nurse Betty.”
Her name wasn’t Betty. Well, it might have been. Dunno...don’t care. And yeah I was being kind of very rude...and chances are she couldn’t just do that weird little genie head nod and make Gunn better...but she had to do--something.
“I’ll do what I can miss, but--“ She started...I cut her off. I don’t like the word ‘but’. “But what? I want him looked after every second that he has to stay in this place. Don’t care what it cost or what it takes. Call an off duty nurse for all I care, just have someone HERE at all times for him.”
I bet if Brat Pitt came in here with a hangnail he’d have the whole hospital staff waiting on him hand and foot.
LA does love their movie stars.
Has Brad Pitt ever been part of a team that saved people from the big bad uglies that go bump in the night? Sit the guy down and let him have an “Interview with a REAL Vampire”...see how worthy of the grade ‘A’ treatment he truly is.
The nurse too a moment to check his vitals. “I understand you’re upset miss, but-“
And there’s that word again... Ooooh and she ‘understands’.
“Sure ya do, lady....”
English? I remembered Gunn had written that down on the paper as well. He got a call from ‘English’ right before his accident.
Wesley? Well...duh. Spike was out of the question now wasn’t he?
While the nurse tended to Gunn I walk over to Dawn.
