Clive looked around, shaking his head. He hadn't expected to see the place so quiet, but he supposed that even demons needed some time off. It had been a while since Adam had ventured out on his own since acquiring his new roommate, (though that was certainly not what the boy was to the vampire these days). Willy's had become one of his favorite bars, since it wasn't littered with giddy teenagers and arrogant college students like the bronze.

A quick survey of the establishment found Clive, someone Adam had the thrill of meeting before and even working with. And an unfamiliar face at the end of the bar that he'd not seen before. However, Adam could tell it was another vampire. He figured he'd keep his distance for now, just to gain an idea if the other kindred was hostile or not.

He headed over to the man, lifting a hand in a greeting and took a seat next to him without so much as asking.

"Long time no see, man" the green eyed vampire said, "I see you're still hanging about with the less social of the city"

Clive nodded, and shrugged. "Yeah, well, the less social don't usually talk to me, and sometimes you just need some fucking quiet, you know?"

He turned and looked Adam over, smirking. "You're looking well enough, considering last time. Whatever happened with that, anyway?"

Adam's brow knotted between his eyes as he thought hard to himself, trying to recollect what Clive was referring to. "What happened with what?" he asked, hoping the man could clarify for him.

Clive stared at Adam, amused. "Uh, you think you'd remember getting a shot in the junk from a scary leatherchick..unless you really do keep your brains in there." He grinned. "In other words, what you're saying is, it didn't go well and you didn't get any. I coulda warned you about her, but did you listen? I hope you got her number, at least? Maybe she's got a sister that's less violent?"

"AH! that" Adam chuckled and shook his head. He leaned back against his chair, lighting a cigarette. As he replied, he held it between his teeth. "I tried to block that out of my mind, thank you very much. Wasn't one of my best moments. But if you insist on knowing, everything healed up well and is in perfect working order. I just have a need to avoid anything leather for a while" His laughter grew louder, pulling the cig from his mouth to exhale a large cloud of smoke over their heads.

"Better luck next time, I guess. She was kinda skanky anyhow. Where've you been keeping yourself, brother?"

Clive finished his drink and signaled for another, glancing down the bar at the other guy that had come in. That one seemed content to just sit and drink, at least.

Adam signaled for a drink as well then took another long drag off his cigarette. "I actually got a job...if you can believe that." A shrug and a chuckled quickly followed. "I get paid for what I do best...biting people" The vampire still wasn't up to speaking about his new living arrangements with people. He tended to keep his personal life very private.

"Hah. They hiring for..damn, I can't even think of a joke to go along with that. Anyway, good for you. Keeps you off the streets, I'd wager? Well, here's to honest work."

Clive sipped his drink, and grinned. Sparing another glance down the bar, he noticed the other guy hadn't actually moved, and was still working on his drink. I'm not gonna tell him that his technique needs work, he thought.
