Ming was checking over the buffet table to make sure everything was in order. The food looked great, and thanks to Anna's budget work, it had even been fairly affordable.
She was wearing a long black dress, with a spiderweb pattern woven through it in delicate silver threads.
"Looks like we're ready to go," she said to Michael with a big smile.
"Yep -- though I wish one of the bands would finish getting all of their bandmates here and start performing," Michael groused mildly. "The Spontaneous Neck Ruptures are here, but they say they're missing their keyboardist..."
Laird shrugged. "I don't know, dude. We all agreed to meet up here at 7, but Cindy never showed. We might have to just play without her if she doesn't move it -- people are starting to come in."
Dot strolled up, and cheerfully waved her bracelet at Michael. "Hi Mike!" Strangely enough, she was all in black, in a swooshy skirt that nearly brushed the ground and a blouse, buttoned nearly to the neck. The crown of leaves that she'd bought at the Harvest Festival was perched atop her head. She'd even changed her normal boots out for strappy shoes.
Once inside, she settled at the bar and watched people trickle in from outside.
Katie waved to Dot; she was wearing a little black dress, her 'work uniform' of sorts, and was waiting by the bar for the incoming tide of customers. "Hey!"
Gil held up his bracelet for inspection, then waited until he was given the go-ahead to go in. Once inside, he scanned around for familiar faces, spotting Tina at the bar. He made his way over and sat, waving. "Yo!"
Mere breezed in past security after showing off her nifty new bracelet. If only she could convince Kyle to give her something a little stronger than cola...just for a shot of courage, but whatever. She went up to the bar and ordered a soda, trying to calm her own nerves about tonight. Helping out Lexi right now was insane enough, although she'd do it in a heartbeat, but having a band member quit mere days before an important gig was nearly enough to send her over the edge.
At least she could laugh about Ash not being Homecoming King. Every cloud has its silver lining and whatever.
Mere sighed. "As far as I still know...yes. We're still on. Of course all the shit would come raining down on our heads this week, right?" She smiled and took a sip of her drink. "I hear that Tina's good, though. Gwen wouldn't lie about something like that. Have you seen any of my band mates around yet, or am I the first to show?"

He paced up and down, all dressed up in a sparkly sequined jacket over a black silk shirt and black pants for the occasion.

She'd play in a band tonight... that had to be good, right?
