Gil held up his bracelet for inspection, then waited until he was given the go-ahead to go in. Once inside, he scanned around for familiar faces, spotting Tina at the bar. He made his way over and sat, waving. "Yo!"
"...I don't really know." Tina said "I think I'm replacing a missing band member, or something... but I'll be doing something, so it should be okay, right?"
"Woo! Stereotypical teenage hijinks, here we come!" Gil laughed. "And don't you mean someone? Haha." He pulled out another chair for her to sit, then sat down himself once she got settled. "There's food over there.." He gestured vaguely in the direction of the buffet table.
Kayla giggled. "No, the boy he likes is actually working tonight- he's stuck keeping an eye on Homecoming. Chris is going to some Young Farmers of America meeting or something boring like that..."
She settled into the chair, then eyed the selections on the buffet. "Let's get food!"
Gil nodded, and grinned. "Food would be awesome. And aren't you, like, supposed to be adore the land with every fiber or your being? I think they're gonna revoke your 'Wholesome Rural Farmgirl' card or something if this ever gets out. Of course, I didn't see many cows growing up unless we went to the zoo or something, so take it for what it's worth." He headed buffetwards, tugging on her hand.
Kayla went buffetwards with him, and collected a plate. "Well, I like horses and cows just fine - but I don't want to have a farm when I grow up. It's a lot of hard work, and you have to get up early and it's not particularly fun..."
She started picking out some yummy things to put on her plate. "Plus, I gotta fight evil when I grow up, now."

She smiled as she made her way through the crowd and located Gil. "Hey hon!"

She kissed his cheek, then smiled. "And Chris had something to do tonight, so we're unchaperoned! Woo!"
