Field Trip (literally!)
Who: Dot, OT Juice (and possibly Kyle)
Where: Sid's and the Farmer's Market
When Saturday morning
Dot had been up since ridiculous o'clock, thanks to Ellie. After about an hour of trying to ignore the whining, she'd surrendered to the inevitable and dragged herself out of bed to feed the dog. After breakfast came walkies, after which point Dot was awake for the day and Ellie took her first nap of the day. She'd had her garden plot prepared all week, and was brimming with excitement as the prospect of actually filling it with stuff. She'd made little signs to delineate which plants were going to be planted where once the actual dirt was in place. She wasn't sure if she'd need any additional soil, but it never hurt to be careful.
She gathered all the stuff she thought she'd need into her pack, then grabbed her favorite hiking stick and headed off to Sid's. She and Juice had agreed that it would be easiest to keep meeting here, since they'd already done so twice before. She hoped he'd been able to convince his man to come along -- meeting new people was always nice.
She ordered eggs, bacon, and toast, then took over a booth with her stuff. Someone had left a copy of the paper behind, and she skimmed through that while she waited.
