Bleh.. I always seem to write at 3am... well, here I am, studying for finals again... seems as though they happen about every 3 months now... almost like clockwork. Kinda feels like an extensive evaluation at work, yet instead of once a year.. it's every 3 months.
Updates... well... about 3 weeks ago, my mom had surgery on her back. It's like a brand new surgery technique that they're using where they go in and add a cushion in between the vertebrae. A bit more involved and complicated than that, but she had it to relieve the pain in her hip which she's had for years (falling off a horse when you're young sometimes catches up with you). She's doing much better now and the only pain is where they performed the surgery... the hip pain is gone!! yayyy!! I spent time with her and have been trying to help out where I can, but my schedule has been insane lately... can't wait for this week to be over!!
Also, about 3 weeks ago I got some furniture from a motel that was remodeling some rooms... if anyone needs small round tables (like a card table size, but oak) and/or oak chairs... please let me know before next week... I'll be taking the rest to the auction after everyone gets what they want. Seriously, there's like 40 chairs and 35 tables... so let me know!!
The boys turned 11 on may 22 and we had an awesome birthday... not really a party, but we spent the day running around and having fun... their presents were in the back of the van so whenever we did something fun, they'd open a present (race cars... open present... bowling... open present) they got to go to the skateboarding park with their new skateboards... very funn day!
Went fishing with the kids last week.. kind of a celebration for them getting their school done.. also because grandpa bought them new tackle boxes and fishing poles for their birthday. I got hella sunburned, conner kinda got sunburned and cameron, not at all. I have new pictures up of our boating expedition (not calling it fishing anymore cause we didn't catch anything) but it was fun and we got to swim in the middle of the lake!! sooo worth the sunburn.
This last week has just been studying for me and gaming for the boys. I got them the City of Heroes/Villians and they've been really getting into it. We set up 2 seperate accounts so they can play with eachother online instead of taking turns. I'm turning the extra room in the house into a gaming room... hopefully have 4 computers set up in there soon, so very exciting stuff. I know, I'm a geek... whatever.
Saw my grandma today, she came down from portland and it was so good to spend some time with her. I'm going to try to make it up to portland for pride next weekend. The boys will be coming and we'll also be hitting a big theatre up there to see the new fantastic four movie. other than that, there's really nothing else to tell.
I've been missing danny and david and everyone over in belgium something fierce. I think everything is still sometime so overwhelming for me cause of the things I went through. I feel so much pain sometimes that I can't hardly bear, but... I still press on. Alex has been on my mind so much lately... I hope someday I'll be able to talk with him and get to know him more.
