Not much been going on (well, yeah... much, but not to bore you with it all) Anyways, I was going to go out last night at the last minute, but was stranded cause my windshield wipers gave out and it was pouring rain. They've been going bad for the past 2 months now, but I've been always able to get them running at the most crucial points. Now, it is safe to say that the washer motor has given up the ghost... I hope she makes it to that blessed windshield in the sky, where there shall be no bugs, no cracks, and 10 bladed wipers for all who may enter. Now, I must search for another... that is not to say that the new motor will ever be a replacement for the old one.. I mean I am not going to exchange the 4 years of uncomplaining service this motor has given me... somehow, the loss is bittersweet and I will always remember the road trips and the times we had. Moving along...
Today was very relaxing... Got to get up late and spend a leisurely time at home. Went shopping and running errands about 1pm... found a few things I had been waiting on getting... a couple shirts, looked at bookcases for the boys. Then went to pick up the kids at 5. Then we went shopping... to the mall to look at games and I was really on a quest for some larger bandannas.. seems as though I won't be able to dye my hair for awhile now (stupid medication junk) and so wanted to get something a bit nicer than the rags I've been wearing. We went to Spencers and Hot Topic (ghighi) whenever I walk into that place and see the things they've come up with to sell, makes me wonder how little it takes to be a fashion designer there.. tattered jeans here, worn out shoes there... I see the same fashions in the free box in ashland or at goodwill.. kinda retro and it's cool stuff, just doesn't take much creativity to think of. ah well, anyone who knows me would know I'm not the best evaluator when it comes to fashion... so I will digress.
I have to get bills taken care of and also figure out how much a fence will cost... a fence you ask? Well, I don't know how many of you heard, but my puppy got run over on Monday... yeah... that's what I felt too. Fortunately she didn't die and I was able to get her to the vet. He kept her overnight (make sure there wasn't any internal bleeding) then she was returned with just a broken shoulder. It'll heal in time and she is limping around, but it is nothing compared to how bad it could have been. She still forgets sometimes that it's broken and will put her weight on it, then the shriek she lets out sends chills up my spine, taking me back to the cries I heard on the day she was hit. Having a puppy lie there so helpless and giving me that look... any parents out there know what look I mean... immediately took me into protective mode, later bringing back memories of when one of my children would get hurt and look to me for help. But, good news is that she's alright. I did miss out on Beltaine cause I didn't want to leave my puppy home alone and didn't want anyone else caring for her, so... maybe next year... had a nice uneventful beltaine and had time to myself for the between mists, reflection and so thankful for everything in my life.
Not much else to say. I did get away to the coast last weekend with my dad and kids and got to play on the beach. It was very fun... just wish my other kids had been there too, then it would have been perfect... ah well, maybe soon. I'm hoping to get over there more often this year as a place to go and study without having to worry about people in and out and the phone and errands... it's such a nice peaceful place to visit and just be.
I'm going now, and want to just send out blessings to those I haven't connected with recently and those I have. I'll be around, always popping my head out here and there and even though I am busy and will be this summer, I always take a moment everyday to check online and keep up on everyone.
Blessings,
Sunny
