The other day? Was weird. I mean I have seen weird. I have seen a pass that knocked a guy out for the 3rd time in a quarter on the football field. I have seen a cheerleading squad do a cheer proclaiming that they were proud of their african heritage, when they all were... well white. However the notion that Tara, my new friend Tara was roommates with a Demon? I thought it was crazy. Then she started to explain.
It was the little things. The lack of common sense, the tiny doodles of odd symbols. The obsession with sex. It sort of was starting to make sense. I mean the girl did have an odd way of speaking. So in a way, I guess it was just like those alien movies. Where they come in and try to be all normal? Fooling the humans so that they could take over... but then I started to wonder if she was alone. I mean what if the whole school was full of demons? All trying to make some group move? It was unnerving.
I left my classes that morning, and headed to the library. I had no idea what I was looking for, but I had to do something. I mean my friend was stuck with a Demon! Tara said that she didn't know what kind of demon she was but I thought I could try to give it the old college try and figure it out for her. I had called her and left a message for her, in case she got out of class and wanted to help me. I did know that her classes ran later than mine though, so I figured I could get a head start at least. Maybe even meet some other classmates, because I had been holed up in my own little world the past month.
I blame family of course. I mean I can't really go out at night. That is when Dad calls me, he needs me. Then Mitch gets home and cleans up whatever he does. I miss them, really I do, but I know that it would be worse if I was there. So I headed up the steps of the College Library, and made my way to the computer catalogs. I typed in Demon and printed out the list of books. Wandering the aisles I grabbed a few titles and then headed over to the study tables. I pulled out a legal pad and started to flip through the pages.
"Hmmmm... Medusa."
I started to think about it. I mean she did have curly hair... it was an option.
