Oh hey, how you doin? Yeah I'm good, just restoring some haemoglobins and shit.
I've been so weird lately. Like, ridiculously tired, light headed, feeling sick, weak etc. I nearly passed out at work so many times on Saturday, fun times. So I'm assuming its anemia, or something equally lame, so I'm trying to get some of that iron and B12 shit into me. Oh good lordddyy.
Yeah on an unhappier note (cause haemoglobins are totally happy) I went and saw my nan again on Friday and that...was pretty shocking. She'd changed so much since I last saw her. She couldn't talk, and she looked so weak and fragile, it was horrible. She was mostly asleep for the entire time I was there. And I was ok, until my aunt (who was there too) said goodbye to her and then I just burst into tears in the hallway. My poor Aunt haha. I don't know man. Saying goodbye was a lot harder than I thought. It's just so...weird. I don't know. I can't believe she's still hanging on. She's hardly eating or drinking. She wants to go but she can't, it's awful. I'm trying to stay positive though. She wants her life celebrated, not mourned. And that I can do.
Anyway sorry for kind of, venting all this on here, I know it's a bit awkward haha. Just nice to talk it out.
So today I had a good moment, of not feeling totally weak, so I finished 'gardening' haha. And my dad was so super awesome on Saturday, he took all the junk I cleared out of the house, and took it to the tip, and thennnn cleaned the garden up for me! He got the lawn mower, and the whippersnipper thing and it's all clear and neat! And moved big heavy pots for me!
And it looks alright now so I'm going to show you haha.
So,
this was what it looked like previously, if you don't remember.
Now:
JUST CHECK OUT THAT EDGING! It's just...definition man, definition.
Only vaguely resembles a jungle now!
Also cleaned up the dining table.
Tres modern.
And took all the junk off the basket!
Still lots to do, and it's never gonna look great (it's not my house so I can't do a whole lot haha) but it looks better anyway. Next to do is the middle room, which is a huge job, and then my bedroom! It'd be so much easier if my dad was home to help but he's hardly ever here, and when he doe come home, I always work that weekend so it's pointless! Argh.
I just want to spend thousands of dollars at IKEA, my new catalogue is like my bible :(
Ohhhh man, it is nearly time to put Christmas decorations up, I am so excited.
I also realised that I have SO much to do. I have yet to organise ANYTHING for my party, SHIT and I really don't want to either! Annoying.
I also have to find a dress for my birthday, organise my NYE party, send out invitations for both, clean this house and get it ready, go Christmas shopping, get driving lessons, go to the gym AHHHH. Insane.
Not a whole lot, been a bit of a slow month for music.
Cortney Tidwell;
Mama From The Mountain - This song was at the end of an episode of Offspring, a semi new show here in Australia. And I think it's so beautiful. I've never been a huge fan of female vocals, but it's this kind of song that always makes me change my mind. It's kind of along the same stream as Cocteau Twins' 'Alice' which was featured in The Lovely Bones. It's so dreamy, and sad and beautiful and weird, I love that. It's heartbreaking haha.
Say Hi;
Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh - This was a song that Genius recommended me (oh yeah I figured out how to get that sidebar back haha) after listening to a song off Gossip Girls. I think it's pretty cool. Kind of upbeat, different. Nothing spectacular but it goes.
Chinese Man;
I've Got That Tune - So I've been really into those weird, jazzy electro pieces lately and Chinese Man, I've discovered, is pretty cool. This is their most popular song apparently. I don't know why I'm so into this genre, it's weird. It reminds me a lot of hip hop, I guess that's why.
Kormac;
Kormac's House - Another jazzy electro song. I love it. it's so upbeat and dancy and got a good bass and mannnnn why do I love this genre so much, I'm such a nerd! This is one of my favourites at the moment.
Pendulum;
ABC News Theme (Remixed) - Ahahaha yeah this is pretty old, but I still kind of am impressed. Pretty much only Aussies will find it funny, but it's just a remix of a news channel theme here. But it's pretty good, Pendulum are amazing.
Free The Robots;
Diary - Another one of those slow, jazzy hip hop songs but it's def more hip hop than jazz. I would also says it's a little shoe gazy. Bit crazy. It's all slow and mellow I kind of really like it!
Cassius;
Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes - I've been on a kind of Cassius kick lately because I love their new single. So have some old Cassius. Always a classic. I don't know what is so good about this song, it's so unconventional. But it's so GOOD.
Cassius;
Cassius 99 (original mix) - A more upbeat, dancy song of theirs. Another classic!
Cassius;
I <3 U So - The new Cassius song! I love it! It's so slow and dreamy and awesome, and I love the weird little vocals. It's sweet and very fitting with the summery theme lately.
Gonjasufi; Ancestors ((Dreamtime) Mark Pritchard Remix) - I randomly downloaded this album by some artist called Gonjasufi? I've never heard of him. It was a album of mixes. I don't know if they're his own, I'm assuming they are, and other artists have remixed them? Anyway, I really liked this song off it. It's all weird and dream like, and intense. It's one of those songs I cant help but imagine in some kind of cool indie experimental hardcore movie haha. Really heavy, I love it.
Flying Lotus;
Massage Situation - I'm always a fan of Flying Lotus. One of their older songs. I'm more into their new, hip hop feel but their older, more electro ambient kind of thing, is also very cool. I love how this is one of those songs designed to be listened to on headphones, and the sound alternates between each side. It resonates in your ears. It's so awesome. Definitely a good chill out song.
Flying Lotus;
Tea Leaf Dancers - Another oldie. And it always has that resonating feel about it too. It's great, I'm very into this whole ambient genre right now. Because I've aged like 40yrs.
Adrian Lux;
Teenage Crime (Original) - Aww man, how can anyone not love this song! It's so happy and cute and nostalgic and dancy! This is the original version, which I like a lot better than the radio edit. I love a good slow build up! This is such a great summer song I think. I can't think what it reminds me of...? And I'm surprised it didn't come out sooner, with all the other amazing summer tracks!
Lights On;
We Live Underground - This was the song off Gossip Girl I mentioned earlier. It for some reason caught me so I had to download it. It's not my normal kind of music but listening a few times I've grown on it a lot. It's kind of deep and intense but still rockerish, I don't know. It's pretty sexy haha, and it was used pretty great in Gossip Girl!
Spoon;
I Saw The Light - Another song off the same episode. I've always liked Spoon, but I'd never heard this song. I think it's rad. Very Spoon sounding. I just love their guitar riffs, and how they work with them. It's very visual, I don't know if that makes sense.
These are all mp4's by the way. Most of my music is because I download from iTunes. Goodbyeeee all my money!
