I screwed up the painting.
I got overzealous and tried to finish it the other night. Its not looking great, so I'm just going to let it sit for a while until I figure out how to fix it.
I've been looking for work.
Today I sent my resume to the West Side Neighborhood Housing Services; they're looking for someone to answer phones and do certain types of clerical work.
This nursing home in Tonawanda is looking for an activities aide, so I applied for that. I have activities experience and love old people, so this would be beyond perfect.
I sent my resume to the Psychiatric Center a few days ago; they sent me an application for the civil service exam, which was a boost of confidence. I'd applied for the Mental Health Therapy Aide position; you don't need formal training, but you do need to pass the NYS exam. I have to fill out the application and send it to Albany to find out when the test is being offered.
CEM is hiring, which would be a good position. Its an in-person application process, so Monday I'll go over there.
Other than that, I hear tell that one of the porn stores will be hiring very soon. A friend of mine just recently put in her two weeks. That would be a good position; over nights, very quiet, sit around and read mostly. I have no qualms with selling smut.
