Persephone Sends an Angel by Mistake

Apr 09, 2009 01:29

Persephone lost herself and lost her way
Now only able to look back she chases me
She catches a light breeze and asks
For  Night to send her to the girl zone

Broken and confused
She sends an angel by mistake
The messenger becomes a treasure
And its uncertain who is guarding who

I sing as wings accompany me
Bells ring and echo into eternity
She covers my eyes and feet
Until I have reclaimed My divinity

I have tea with Orpheus and watch him smile.
We talk of songs that need writing.
Of Muses that have come and gone
Those unrequited and those yet to be

We say goodbye and I dream a little dream
Where I am Free of Pretty Hate Machines
