ok so yesterday, incase you didnt know, and i bet you didnt! waaasss..
CANADA DAY!
so on that note... i have a slightly funny story.
ok so for 'community service' im doing tech work for a community theatre near my house. this basically involves me just running followspot. ok so the play is called 1776 and its about the birth of our nation and the signing of the declaration of independence. technically this is very festive of them as the 4th of july is very very soon. however because yesterday was canada day.... i was decked out in canada stuff.... basically just my 'the best girls are canadian' shirt over a red long sleeved shirt and i had a maple leaf on my hand. ne who so i get there and its opening night and this guy starts talking about how hes so proud to be an american and how this play was a dream of his. and then he puts on this mp3 of the pledge of allegence and what the whole thing means, and everyone was getting emotional about america.... and i was sitting there being all canadian and not getting emotional about america because i was so set with canada and shit.... so i felt bad cuz they had all come over near me cuz thats where the computer was and where the mp3 was playing. and so they were all standing around me saying the pledge and like, i felt like if i said it, it would be weird or wrong cuz i was like.... all canadian... i just thought it was kinda funny that on the day the play that was SOOOOO american opened it was canada day and i was being very anti america ish..... ok thats it im done its prolly not as funny to you as it was to me.
