On stage, Kikwang is constant fan service, with his winks and hip thrusts and bold exhibitionism. Dongwoon is shy charisma, with his bashful smiles and strong gazes and less extreme show of skin. Back stage, Kikwang is all smiles and slightly dumb faces. Dongwoon is the same, only with some food in his mouth. After the other members fall asleep or run off to visit their other celebrity friends, after they are the only ones left, just the two of them, they are sly, loving eye contact and telepathy. And then, together, hand in hand, they slip into an empty dressing room, a space filled with secrets and love.
Dongwoon always starts by placing small pecks on Kikwang’s forehead, always chastely and sweetly. Slowly he makes his way down, making sure he doesn’t leave a single spot left untouched. From there, things become indescribably languorous, dreamy, tranquil. By the time their fingers are intertwined in an intimate lock, Kikwang feels that everything with Dongwoon is just right, perfect and can’t help but still be surprised his hand fits so flawlessly with Dongwoon’s. It’s moments like these where he wishes time would just stay still eternally.
They press their lips together, and Dongwoon’s arms are around Kikwang’s waist holding him so tight that Kikwang is scared, scared that he may never be able to let go.
So how did they end up like this? Dongwoon didn’t know, Kikwang even less, but it felt good, inexplicably good. The warm embraces never turned cold, even in the harshest winter days. The saccharine kisses always tasted so sweet, no matter how many times they did it. They wouldn’t mind doing it for the rest of their lives. They made each other feel wanted, needed- loved.
And to them, it was all that really mattered.
