Cocktails and Climbing

Yesterday I had a very very wet but pleasant afternoon of Camden market shopping with
mrsneeze.  Afterwards we went for happy hour at the nearby cocktail bar. I was a bit reluctant to drink any alcohol as I was going climbing, but there was such a great variety and bargasm prices, I couldn't refuse.

I went to Westway climbing wall in Notting Hill and had the best climbing session I've had so far this year. My hypothesis is that cocktails before climbing results in a reduced fear of falling and therefore better climbing!! It was great. Myself and Patti pushed ourselves really hard and were left completely pumped afterwards. I was back leading routes again, which is something I have chickened out of for ages.
(Leading = rope is below me, not above, so fall factor and risk of damage/injury is greater-more info)

Sleeping has improved since Thursday thankfully. I only managed a couple of hours on Wednesday (4.30-6.30am and 8-10am), but Thursday I slept solidly from 4am-1pm and then last night from 2am-10am. So although it is not ideal sleep times as I am out of sync with most people, I am now actually sleeping. I went back to the doc today and she has prescribed some heavier meds that I can take at night to help zonk me out. I might give them a try, but one of their main side effects (90% of cases) is increased appetite and weight gain...so that is not good!!! I was on them before back in 2005 and they did exactly that, but I just have a 5 day prescription, so it may be ok.
