Carey Mulligan is the Chuck Norris of Acting
I really like the lovely British actress Carey Mulligan, despite only having seen her in two things: Pride and Prejudice (she only had a small part) and the episode of Doctor Who "Blink", where she was the main focus and had more appearance and screen time than the doctor. But I still find her completely awesome. I saw her on Jay Leno and she just seemed like such a down-to-earth, nice, grounded person. Same impression from her "Vogue" interview.
So imagine my joy when I discovered that not only is there going to be a 2012 movie of 'The Great Gatsby' (one of my fav books ever), but dear Miss Mulligan is going to be Daisy! I could see her making a really perfect Daisy. Leonardo DiCaprio is going to be Jay Gatsby, which also seems like a really good casting choice. Rumor has it that Tobey Maguire is going to be Nick, which is unconfirmed but seems like it would work.
