We both took the day off on the anneverysary of Sweetheart's diagnosis, I accompanied her to a toronto location where Slice Network had arranged for a private photoshoot gearing towards cancer survivors. Andy had been selected to model in a calendar and as Miss August, she was proud to participate. the Calendar is a project which had stemmed from Kaitlyns' show "Re-Vamped" which starts Sept 6th.

So Andy's in this sailor bikini outfit and ET Canada shows up to do a segment on the calendar production. They interview Andy regarding her journey with cancer and her involvement with the calendar and Slice Network. My mother wants us to reserve a calendar for her.

Things have certainly been busy for us this summer, Andy is going to be on-edge for a bit while she awaites exam results from a written test she took two weeks ago. I've been stressed out about a job offer that i do not want to decline, but school in january is a priority.

It has been such a busy week and Sweetheart and I hadn't had time for each other lately, we do go for walks with the dog almost everynight, it's soooo nice. or we'll go down to the pier and grab an ice cream. most of this week, we stayed in, watched some episodes of Will and Grace and talked about the future. Later, in bed, I run my fingers along her skin, feeling a tight scar which, a year ago was an angry gash across her chest.

Things between us are going so well, i feel truely blessed. I just want to keep her safe and happy and i'm not naiive enough to wish for things to stay the way they are, but i honestly do love this "adventure" that we've found to be our life together. I know that in the next year, or year and a half i should say, there will be big changes, for both of us individually and for us as a couple. i've no doubts that we can handle whatever lies ahead of us. it's a really good feeling.

I wonder if i've ever shared this picture, it was taken in september 2008, when i rented a cottage so that we could escape a while and take all out books and medical advice and figure out what choices need to be made.

Shelley took this picture without us knowing.

Callie is almost a year old now...she's more likely to beat up on the dog, they are roughly the same size.

I'll post more pictures another time,

Talk more later!
