He is to be engaged to a dragon against his will.
He finds out his lover left him for a woman.
He runs away from home and gets lost.
He loses all his possessions to a petty thief.
He gets trampled on by a panicked mob.
His hand gets stepped on and all the bones break.
He gets captured by the cruelest pirate captain of them all.
He gets kicked in the gut instantly after he regains consciousness.
He throws up on the said pirate captain's shiny boots.
His other hand is stepped on by a pirate.
He throws up blood on the pirate captain's already-vomit-covered boots.
