Two pieces of news, both in regards to two of my sisters.
One, my sister is engaged, omg.
The 20-year-old. Not the 11-year-old or the 22-year-old. Meg called me last night and shared the news. She and Cole have no immediate plans to get married, and probably won't for quite some time, but they are engaged!
This is exciting.
Two, Kristin should, right about now, be in surgery. She's having her gall bladder out. She was perfectly willing to wait until May, after her practicum was done, and eat carefully until then, but a mouthful of ice cream cake at Meg's birthday party was apparently enough to send her into a gall attack so bad she ended up in the emergency room on morphine. For the second time. So they moved her up.
This is four generations of my family, now, who have had their gall bladder out.
Honestly, I don't think any of us are too worried. This stuff always happens to Kris. She's been in the hospital so much and had so much (relatively minor) surgery that even she's all, well another surgery ho hum.
Apparently, Kris is hilariously ranty when she's on morphine.
