I am sick... finally. Everyone else on my team has been sick, and I'm pretty much the last person to get it. Mostly just my sinuses and a stuffy nose; no coughing or anything, which is good. I'm glad I had yesterday off to get some medicine and relax. and today it was pretty slow at work, so I could just lay back and chill.
Between my stuffy head and the medicine and a serious lack of sleep, I feel pretty loopy right now. I hope this entry makes sense later.
Something I was thinking about yesterday... as long as I've lived in this town, there's still so much of it that I haven't seen or explored yet. On my day off yesterday I was running errands all over town. I had to go to Longwood first, then I went south on 17-92 (Mills Ave/Orlando Ave/whatever) down to Colonial Photo & Hobby. I've been to both places many times, but never took that road from one to the other before. It was a nice drive... I finally saw where the museum of art is, and some other places I've heard about but never knew where they were. It's always exciting to discover new parts of town.
and I'm feeling introspective lately...
After finally watching The Crow last week, I really wanted to read the original graphic novel that the movie was based on. I borrowed Chris's copy and... wow. I read it twice in three days. and I want to read it again and again. There are so many little details in the words and in the images. It's so beaufully brutal. I don't know if I can really express all the things that this story makes me feel. It's just crazy. I can't believe it took me so long to get into this story. I've heard people talk about the movie for years and I think I finally understand why so many people are obsessed with it. Who here has seen it? and especially, who has read the original story? I'm curious.
I think I'm going to go to bed before midnight. I'm just sitting here like a zombie. I'm surprised my hands can type at all. My head is so heavy I don't know how I can hold it up. Maybe I'll take some Tylenol PM then I won't care that it's raining right now and I'll go to sleep anyway. I hate when it rains at night.
