Well. This week has been long and exhausting, to say the least. But it was oh so much fun.
Wednesday night I got to see my best friend Nick C, who was in town doing training for work. I picked him up from his hotel off of I-Drive and we went to dinner. We did a lot of catching up, which is always great. Took him back to the hotel so he could get some work done, and went to hang out with Chris, who had some friends over. Turned out I knew half the people there from seeing them around the building at work, which we all thought was funny. Everyone there was really awesome and it was a lot of fun... I drank 2 beers, which is amazing for me since I usually can't even finish one. It turned out to be an amazing night. Went to bed really late and was dead tired at work on Thursday, but I didn't care cause it was worth it.
After I got out of work Thursday I went back to Nick's hotel and we spent over 2 hours wandering around the IKEA store by Mall at Millenia. It was his first time there, and mine too. Holy crap that store is enormous!! Even though we were there for 2 hours I'm pretty sure we missed a lot of stuff. When Nick comes back to town next month we're definitely going there again, and hopefully buying stuff next time! After that we went to Mimi's Café around the corner for dinner, then I headed home. Took some Tylenol PM and was in bed by midnight. My head hit the pillow and I was out like a light until my alarm went off. I haven't slept all the way through the night in a really long time... that stuff really works! Friday I was off the phones all day helping train new people coming into our department. However, the girl sitting with me, after only a few calls, decided she didn't like me for whatever reason and requested someone else. Luckily I got to stay off the phones all day and just do other stuff, which was nice.
Then there was today... Now, normally it is freezing at work. I'll wear a shirt and sweater and still be cold, and my hands hurt so bad. Usually on Saturdays it's a lot warmer, and I don't have to wear a sweater. But today, the a/c was completely off on our side of the building, and it was HOT. Everyone was sweating and complaining. It was terrible. It was slow for the first part of the morning, but after lunch it got pretty busy and everyone was getting cranky. The saving grace was that some of the ladies on our team brought in food to make cuban sandwiches... yummmmmm.
Picture post soon... promise.
P.S. - I didn't get the new job. Oh well.
