nothing is trivial

My weekend turned out pretty good. Spent Friday hanging out with Chris after work. We went to 5 & Diner for dinner... I haven't been there in at least 3 years now. Brought back a lot of memories for me... all the late nights I used to spend there with friends. But we had a lot of fun hanging out and talking and scavenging for art projects later on. Saturday night, I watched The Crow for the first time ever. I've been wanting to see it for years and just never got a chance to. I finally went out and bought it (because I just knew I would like it) and sat down to watch it. and WOW...  I loved the movie instantly. I understood right away why so many people love it too.

Sunday, Kris and I went to visit Yeny and KC at the Kite Festival at Blanchard Park. yay for free food :) We went back to my place and attempted to watch the rained-out race. They didn't officially postpone the race until after 2am... ugh. Went to bed way too late, then dragged myself to work today. It was kinda slow, so it was a tolerable Monday. We have 15 new people coming to our department, and they are training all this week. Part of training is having them sit with other reps and listening to our calls. I had someone sit with me for the last hour I was there. I always love when we have new people sitting with us because I like teaching them.

After work I went home and watched the race from earlier (go Carl!), then went to Yeny's. They made me watch The Amityville Horror (the remake). It was not as scary as I expected, but still made me jump in quite a few places. After that we watched The Crow again. I could watch that movie over and over.

Now I'm home but tired and wide awake, mostly because I don't really want to go to bed. I mostly hate scary movies because it's always hard for me to sleep afterward... my overactive imagination tries to get the best of me. Hopefully by the time I crawl into bed I'm so tired that I'll just pass out right away.

Picture post to come tomorrow. For now, an attempt to sleep.
