(no subject)
I hate that I never update anymore. Here are some random things I kept meaning to post about the past week or so, jam-packed into one entry.
So when my can of roach spray says it kills on contact, I have to assume they mean only if you use the actual canister to hit the roach with it, because drowning the roach in the spray itself just makes him go around in circles. Ridiculous. It shouldn't take 5 minutes for me to kill a roach.
At work, they block nearly every website imaginable, except for a select few. Luckily, one of the sites we have access to has free online games. Another is ask.com (including their maps section, which keeps me entertained sometimes but is nowhere close to the niceness of google maps), and the one that most of us read is USA Today's website. I was happy to find a news site that we could access because it gave me an opportunity to keep up with what's going on. That is, until last week, when they finally blocked USA Today's website. I guess I'll go back to exlporing maps and playing mah jongg instead of actually educating myself about the world outside of work. heh.
I've been sick for the past few days. Not like a regular cold though, just swollen tonsils and lots of coughing. and a lovely, gravelly voice. Talking 8 hours a day at work does nothing to help me. Too bad cingular/at&t/whoever I work for has never heard of the concept of sick days.
I saw Schindler's List tonight for the first time ever. I liked it a lot. I already want to see it again, this time without subtitles (kris, you may be used to them but they're just too distracting to me).
I'm tired of coughing. and just plain tired. I've enjoyed my day off today, especially since I have the day off again tomorrow :) Time for bed.
