Who's gonna drown in your blue sea?

I don't actually support any European team besides a mild simpathy towards Liverpool. However, there are teams I don't like at all, and I think Chelsea is on top of that list. Why I dislike them is not hard to answer: first, they're a club with an owner. When push comes to shove, what matters is that it's making money for its owner, not if the ( Read more... )

"And worse, it's something for people, who already don't need much more wealth, make money over the love other people have for the club."
yeah, that's awful.. guess United has an owner too. I remember watching something on espn that was talking about these people/company related to english teams. United wasn't called like that, it had another name when it was founded *forgot now* they were almost breaking and then some guy invested on them and they turned out to be what they're today. but this guy passed away a long time ago, now the owner is some random business man. don't know much about it but it's something like this. *crap explanation, sorry u.u*

that referee was so blind, crazy.. whatever, anything but a good ref xD I only saw some parts of the match and couldn't help thinking that even I could be better than him ¬¬"
people were discussing this on manutd lj commu, 'cause United was trying to appeal to Fletcher's red card, but somebody commented that (and I agree) if they get it, they'll need to do the same with Abidal (guess ( ... )

I could accept if the clubs were property of a person who cared about it as club, you know? Like, if they had some kind of rule that when the club owner died, it had to be sold to a certified fan with the money to buy it. If none existed, then it should turned into shares and sold to more people for less money. It's an utopia, I know, but it seems to be the only way for the people who really care to be in charge of the club ( ... )

yeah, it's an utopia u.u ...but I got your point.

kinda felt bad for chelsea.. I didn't want them on final but losing in the last minute (but I laughed a lot too) and with that ref.. I'd feel wronged too even if I wasn't haha xD

you strange people from the south.. ¬¬ hahahaha ok, kidding xD guess I'm just filled with prejudice and not funny jokes u.u" but I do like Tevez and Messi.. can't even explain why.. Tevez may leave United and I don't want this to happen!! damn berba.. T__T

I'm gonna watch manutd x wigan and then flamengo x internacional. wee, maratona \o/
well.. good lucky for us!!

You're a better person than I. I never feel bad when a team I dislike loses a match. It's even better when it's like this, with a last minute goal.

Ahaha, no, you see, I'm the strange person from the south. Most people here don't like Argentines in general, only when they play for their clubs. But I think it's more of a love and hate feeling because people feel obligated to dislike Argentines because of the rivalry with Brazilians. :/
But I can't possibly like Tevez 'cause he was in Corinthians in 2005. I mainly ignore him, not dislike him.

To a supporter, Flamengo x Inter was awful in the sense it kept me extremely anxious and nervous for almost 2 hours. The result wasn't the worse, to either team. But I suppose I trust Inter better when it comes to playing in Beira-Rio.

well, guess I was neutral about Tevez when he played in corinthians xD sometimes all that media around him kinda bothered but nothing serious. I remember rooting for corinthians against palmeiras a looooooong time ago (child stuff xD), it was a final I guess. the only thing I remember is that Dida was playing for them, went to penalty shoot. hihi the neighbors were rooting for palmeiras, and I watched parts of the game at their house.. and if my memories don't fool me, corinthians won it. I remember I couldn't celebrate.. was laughing so hard inside xD

I lost a huge part of fla x inter. yeah, don't even believe it x.x got so nervous with manutd game that forgot, not the game, but the time it'd start xP anyway at least I saw some parts of the 2nd time.
your team almost killed me at the end! hahaha thanks my keeper^^
also saw your goalkeeper talking at the end. "Bruno tá de parabéns pela defesa, pena que não ajudou a gente *risos*". something like that, soooo cute! xD

remembering this dida stuff made me really think over this ( ... )

Well, I have great reasons to remember Tevez with nothing but ressent since he played for the team CBF literally gave the Brazilian Championship which Inter won fair and square. Things like this are hardly ever forgotten.
Oh, I do that still, I always pick a team to root when I'm watching a match. I mean, if it's good enough to watch, it's good enough for me to root for one of them.

Your team almost killed me during the whole match. I was going insane every time they got the ball, wondering "is it now they'll score?"
Now you have a second chance at watching Inter x Flamengo. I know I'm nervous already. Been thinking about this match since I came home from Inter x Palmeiras! @_@

Yes, I'm positive about your goalie obsession. Nothing to worry about, though. ^_~
Congrats to United!

same here \o/

I'm very angry... I won't be able to watch fla x inter!!!! damn it!!! ¬¬ I'm so dumb. I thought the game was on sunday (why the hell I thought that???) a friend of mine invited me to a party of her college today.. my sister is going, a friend of mine is going 'cause I'm going and I also met the girl that invited me on the street today ¬¬" there's no excuse for me not to go T.T
hope that there's a tv *almost hopeless* u.u

well, well.. did you went to the stadium to see the game against palmeiras?? will you go to the one against flamengo today? =D I'd like to go to.. but I'm seriously afraid of fla fans. hahaha xD ok, kidding.. but I'm really afraid of some commotions after some games o.o" some say that now it's better, some say that don't... aff. whatever ¬¬" just hope to be able to see it live one day xD

Man, if you missed the match you missed one of the best matches played in the whole year! Such a nervous game, with chances for both teams all the time. My heart was pounding in my chest the whole time. When Flamengo scored the equalizer it was like a bucket of icy water thrown at me, it was horrible. But fortunately (for me, of course) Andrezinho went to the game and scored the winning goal.
Your team was a great adversary. They were brave and fought to the end. It wouldn't be unjust if Flamengo went on, but unfortunately only one can go on. Thank goodness it was Inter!!! XDAs for going to the stadium, yes, I did go against Palmeiras as well as other matches, but not against Flamengo. I only go to matches that aren't too late ( ... )

I really missed it x.x well, there was a tv, but I had my back turned to it. trying to find a way to talk and at the same time watching it, so I was like turning my head all the time xD
anyway my friends wanted to dance and I was like "not now..", trying to waste time. then some guys started screaming and clapping and when I turned to see, Internacional had scored! *damn fla haters/inter supporters fooled me, I'd bet flamengo scored* x.x minutes later started to play Franz Ferdinand's song 'do you want to' and I just said "let's dance". I wouldn't be able to watch the whole thing anyway..
when I got home my father said "flamengo lost, it was 2" *I started to think 2-0 and then..* "x 1." and somehow I didn't felt better xP it was like we had a change to pass and we didn't! what the hell?! ò.ó aff. I don't know if it was good or not to miss it, but they're both great teams, it'd be a good game for sure..
must say: congrats to you! ..and don't dare losing!! ¬¬ *talking as you're the manager or something.. hehe I know you got what I said ( ... )

Well, if I knew beforehand Inter was going to lose a match like that, I'd rather go to a party instead. The problem was you didn't know Flamengo was going to lose...
As for losing 2-1, I guess it does leave a bitter aftertaste as Flamengo was the one classified for 15 long minutes but then lost it. I know it isn't nice because during those 15 minutes, I was in your shoes!

Well, until last year I had gone to the stadium 3 times. I, too, thought it was a bit dangerous to go. But then my mom and I decided to take advantage of a promotion Inter did on March 8th, when women wouldn't pay and we went to the match. There were +46.000 in the stadium that day. It was awesome, but a bit overwhelming, that's why I think it's best if you go to a low profile match first. (Shorter lines for the bathroom, bar, etc.)
As for a final, those are the greatest matches to go, but I think, in your case, also the more complicated. Maracanã is huge, I can't imagine how it'd be to go to a match with other 80.000 people ( ... )

well the only day I went to maracanã was at the opening of Pan games in 2007. things seemed more organized 'cause of the lots of tourists that were going to be there (and politicians, press.. etc). everybody stayed on there seats for a long time, sometimes we stood up.. everything was really calm, totally different from a football game for sure xDDD
and yes, it's huge o.o" we had some problems to enter our sector, 'cause when we tried to do, the symphonic orchestra (something like that xD) were entering through the same sector xD what a problem! ..but my father throw us in anyway hahaha (he actually pushed us and we entered with the musicians xD)
I know how you feel about gremio x inter.. I hate when the game is fla x vasco ..but they're in second division (is that right?) now hihi xD
And wth?! how lucky you are! barca won T.T
yesterday I was so happy that I found a pic with Edwin and Messi and now I just feel like punching that little boy on the face ò.ó I don't know if you saw.. but we SUCKED!!!

It's not the same thing for sure! Only football draws so much passion from the audience (and sometimes hatred too). Think hard, do some researching and try to go to a match. I'm pretty sure you won't regret.

Ah, yes. I remember how wonderfully nice it was when gremio was in the second division too. We're the fortunate supporters of two of the few teams that have never had to taste the bitterness of Segundona. Corinthians tried to make it fashionable last year, but let's face it, Serie B SUCKS!

Ow, poor Messi! The tiny little thing scored a headed goal, so he's not at fault, there must be something wrong with the people who let him do it! Namely Vidic and Ferdinand, the HUGE United defenders who let the little dwarf jump higher (and quite unmarked).
Seriously now, I understand your feelings. I wrote more about the match at your post.

That is one sad picture. It must be quite depressing to watch others celebrating while you can only look from afar, mourn your loss and wonder where did it all go wrong.

"(and sometimes hatred too)"
so true! xD
yeah, serie B SUCKS! hahaha xD

ok, I just hated Messi for a while but.. dwarf? hahaha xD
Vidic and Ferdinand are great defenders but at that night, what was that? messi's goal was repeated over and over and it was sad to see (specially in slow motion) Ferdinand LOOKING at messi while he was jumping to achieve the ball with his head (I was sad but almost die laughing when read a comment that said "Messi, good as he is, is the size of VDS LEG. AND HE SCORED. WITH HIS HEAD. OMFG."). I just felt the same despair as VDS (over and over haha xD).

didn't saw the celebration, turn off the tv after the final whistle. was trying to find some article with what the players said after the match and stuff.. then I found that pic. x.x

Ah, don't even let me get started about the hatred football unleashes. I mean, not football, but the stupid people watching it. I'm all for poking fun at rival supporters, but that's it. I'm totally against the hatred the supporters show one another. Punching and even killing one another is not about football, is gang work. Plus, I've been to too many matches in which some people seemed to be there only to annoy the hell out of other people. My mom thought I was going to have a coronary or beat the crap out of a guy the day we went watching Inter x Figueirense last year. This guy sitting next to me shouted names at the players for the whole first half. I grabbed my mom and moved places to get away from him. I ended up almost behind the goal, but I didn't care, I was so pissed! I don't understand what these people think they'll accomplish with that. I'm sure they're a lot more productive at their work places when they have someone else shouting in their ear how stupid and useless they are ( ... )
