In your mind, through your eyes, do you see, it's the fantasy

With me, one thing always leads to another.

I now enjoy listening to 30 Seconds to Mars. I used to dismiss it, thinking it was famous just because of Jared Leto, but it isn't, it's good, really good actually. But I digress...
Anyway, I had a minor crush on Jared for the entire duration of My So-Called Life, which was a short-lived, full of awesomeness TV show. So I went on IMDB to read a bit about his actor career after that 'cause I'm pretty sure I've never watched a movie with him in it.

Two things came out from this visit to IMDB: First is that, reading some trivia, there was a section named "Where Are They Now" and it stated his whereabouts in December 2007 were, and I quote: "In Florianópolis, Brazil. To pass the new year with his friend from Incubus, Brandon Boyd."
International celebrities are spending New Year's in Florianópolis now?? Really? Is that place that fashionable? And more importantly, who else might have been spending New Year's there?
I've been there, my uncle lives there (and works for a hotel. I've never cared to ask if he'd seen anyone famous in his hotel. But I doubt he knows who Jared is to begin with.), and, well... I've never cared too much for the place. It's pretty, alright, but. Well, I'm not really that normal and don't like beaches, so that might be the reason.
I just find it interesting that these really famous people, who I always picture to be in a galaxy far, far away, can be actually within my reach. And I don't even want to think who else might have been there. I always get teary-eyed thinking how depressed and frustrated I got both times U2 came to Brazil and Bono was so close but faraway at the same time since I couldn't afford to go to the shows so I couldn't be close to him, let alone have the luck of some people who actually got the chance to talk to him. I'd just embarass myself, crying like a baby in front of him, so it might have been for the best.

Wow, I don't even remember what was the main topic of this post.
Oh right.

So, the second things that happened is that I went exploring my favorite actors' pages, to see what they're up to. I don't watch that many movies, but I do have favorite actors and like to know about who's filming what.
I already knew Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor are in a movie together, but I hadn't actually seen them together, so it was a nice surprise to stumble upon a picture of them at Sundance. The same feeling of 'oooohhhh' that filled me when I first saw pictures of Ewan and Bono together at a movie festival and then Jim and Kate Winslet in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind filled me again. Now I'm only missing Kate and Ewan in a movie together. And Rachel Weisz too.
Then, I noticed the third person in the picture and it was none other than Rodrigo Santoro, currently the Brazilian actor who's best (or maybe only) known worldwide. He's also in this movie.
Did I mention that, in this movie - I Love You Phillip Morris - Jim's character is in love with Ewan's? O.O I'm pretty sure I'll crack myself up if there's any sort of display of affection between their characters, no matter how believable or intense it is.

If you like freaky coincidences, I have one: Jim shares his birthday with my mom - who detests him - and has a daughter whose name is the same as my mom's. Useless info, but also nice. ^_^

Oh yes, randomness wins.
