detroit, lift up your weary head!

I haven't ever been to Detroit (though I would like to) and this entry doesn't have a lot to do with that city.
Almost nothing, actually.
It's just.. I found this website, called 100 Abandoned Houses. It's a collection of pictures of abandoned houses in Detroit - there is more than 12000 of them there. When I saw those photos, my jaw dropped to the floor.
I tried to sim a few of those houses, well, at least to get the atmosphere right .. and failed, but at least I like the results and decided to share them with you. :)
The title is taken from Sufjan Steven's song, I've been listening to his music without a break lately. Check him out!
