Did the first round of senior pictures with
bored_horror, which was super cool. We did some shots on top of the parking garage, and I apparently look "cute", and some street shots where I'm leaning up against walls and sitting on the ground and always smiling, and then some park shots that are pretty nice--I didn't get into the tree like I wanted. LAME.
So, we're at the parking garage, right, and
bored_horror gets this call.
"Hello, I'm with a client" says she, and then laughs. "I always wanted to say that." She talks to the person on the other end, says she's going to see this author give a lecture, but that's not until later and we'll be down town until then. She hangs up and shrugs at me. "Someone really wants to show me something."
So we're down a few levels, parking in the actual area where we can park--rather than the Permit Only area--and her friend shows up, and she's like "So, what's up?" I'm looking over her shoulder at the car, and somebody's leaning out of it, and I'm like "I think I know that kid..." and
bored_horror finally notices and squeals and runs over and they hug and bounce around and are generally pretty damn cute in their general strangeness. They talk for a while, and he looks over at me a couple times, and
bored_horror finally says, "Oh, that's Rachel" and I come over, and they keep talking, and looks over at me again, and finally goes, "I think I know you."
"Probably" says I
"We were in Mr Shoton's class together. What's your last name?"
"Denham" And he's like "OMG!" and then all the weird "Do I-Don't I" tension went away and we hugged, and when
bored_horror and her friend started chatting and we were left just talking, we filled in each other's lives since fifth grade--FIFTH GRADE. Christ.
So. Saw Zach. AND JUST AS I'D THOUGHT, THE ONE GUY I'D HAD A BONAFIDE CRUSH ON IS VEEEERY GAY. Convenient to remember if I do, in fact, become a quarter-gay post-op? We shall see.
