Woah! Writing ._. I dedicate this to
kat8cha to whom without, I probably wouldn't have written this. I think this is one of the best fanfics I've written to date *claps for self*
And it took me all night! ^_^;;;;
Fanfiction: Trigger
Fandom: Air Gear
Synopsis: A gun is only the mechanism to fire a shot. The trigger holds the bullet in place until the release. When Sano kisses Kazu randomly one morning while visiting Ikki, Kazu's can think of nothing else until he's ready to confront the damage.
Genre: PG-13
Pairing: Sano/Kazu, some Kazu/Emily
Author's Note: Mmm....it's pretty hot. And the verb infinitve 'to frizzle' is something I thought I made up. Apparently it's synonymous to sputtering. Ha! Poor Kazu ._.

This story was probably spawned by the song Tymps by Fiona Apple. Know what? I'll upload it for you guys.

The bullet doesn’t have a high lethality neither does the gun. It’s the speed the bullet takes off that causes the damage.

If Kazu knew that kisses were supposed to feel like this, he would have tried them out a long time ago.
Then again, maybe not, considering who had done the kissing.
What irked Kazu was the fact that he made it seem so natural, so ordinary, so normal, that he was hardly in a position to complain. It was as if it was part of a grocery list. Buy milk. Get eggs. Kiss Kazu. The usual.
It had been relatively fast as well. Kazu was walking into Ikki’s house, Sano leaving. They had met at the entrance. Kazu had looked up to say hello. Sano looked down, and as if he was remembering something he had forgotten to do, he bent down and kissed him.
In his haste to push away, Kazu had found himself against a solid wall, giving Sano the advantage to continue his ministrations against Kazu’s mouth and body. He pressed him against the wall, his hand above Kazu’s head, other hand tracing his jaw line and falling to his hip.
The hot air between them made even fidgeting a problem as Kazu moaned, tasting the flames that had quietly coiled in his throat. Sano’s fingers pressed into his back, lifting him off a little from the wall, and all he could feel was the tension between the fingers. Somewhere in the back of Kazu’s mind he knew that this shouldn’t be happening, but his body wasn’t allowing him to break away. Besides, the heat of the fire had already engulfed him.
Before Kazu could properly kiss back (if he were going to, which he so was not), Sano was gone.
It didn’t happen. Kazu rationalized, despite his aching jaw. It was a trick of the light, just like all of his other showy tricks, and you’re just an idiot for thinking otherwise.
That didn’t deny the image that Sano had burned in his mind as he walked away. The slight smile while he turned on his heel and left for God knows where.
Kazu licked his lips, tasting more than the bubblegum he had this morning.
“Kazu!” Ikki ran down the stairs, Akito hot on heels. “Eh? Are you coming inside or are you just gonna stand there?”
“No, I’m coming.” He shook his head. He walked behind them, his mind still half in thought.
Ikki looked over his shoulder. “What’s wrong with you? You eat something hot?”
“What?”
He motioned to his mouth. “You keep touching your lips.”

This does not mean that speed is the only barometer in which to measure injury. A gun never shoots by itself, after all.

It happened. And you know it happened. But that doesn’t mean you have to acknowledge that it happened.
“Kazu?”
And you can easily distract yourself. It shouldn’t be this hard.
“Kazu?”
Not to mention, Emily’s right …
He blinked, looking down at his side and not finding Emily right ‘here’ as he was going to declare to…himself.
“Kazu!”
Turning around, he found Emily, who was half a block behind him at the corner they were supposed to turn at. Embarrassed, he jogged back to her, backpack bumping uncomfortably on his back. One of his skates poked him in the spine at an awkward angle and he had to stop for a minute to readjust it. It gave him a few seconds to clear his head before meeting up with Emily again.
Kazu had stopped denying that Sano kissed him, no matter how fast or strange the whole situation had been. He had hoped that being with Emily would distract him, if even for a little. But somewhere between school and idle chitchat, his mind had wandered back to ‘it’, as he had labeled it. And though he was loath to say it, ‘it’ had been on his mind for the good part of last night, this morning, and half of his classes.
“I’m fine.” He said, before she could ask him and tried to smile back. From the expression she returned, he could tell it hadn’t worked.
“Are you sure?” She pointed back to the corner and the amount of space that had been between them.
He chuckled. “Yeah, I just have… a lot on my mind, I guess.” He shrugged and readjusted his backpack.
She tilted her head, sending little butterflies into his stomach. “Such as?”
He opened his mouth to tell her, when the thought hit him squarely. Sano Yasuyoshi kissed me.
At the door, he had been too confused on if the event actually happened or not (read:Induced confusion). Then, he had taken it as step apart and tried to forget it.
No…it actually happened.
There was a good part of him that wanted to beat his face in. But at the present time, his own face could only flush.
“N-nothing, Emily.” He placed a hand behind his head, hoping to laugh it off despite the heat that had risen on his cheeks. If it was from rage or from self-induced humiliation, he couldn’t say.
“Oh… okay…” Her smile barely reached her eyes before she turned them downwards.
“Emily?” He stopped, brushing his hand on her shoulder.
“Nothing, really.” She sighed. “I’d just hoped we were close enough that if something bothered you, you’d be able to tell me.”
Oh.
“I would, it’s just that this… is a little… complicated.” He looked up to see they were fast approaching her house.
“Yeah. Fine.” She sighed again, this time a tad more irritated. “I’ll see you later.
“Emily, wait!”
“Ah!”
His hand had flown to her shoulder, causing her to drop her books and bump into his chest. He could feel her face inflame, which he couldn’t blame her for. His own face was hot as well.
“K-kazu?” She said, her face buried into his chest. “You were saying something?”
“Y…yeah.”
And, for the second time in two days, ‘it’ happened again.
Only, as Kazu realized (and perhaps Emily too) it wasn’t ‘it’.

It is only after you’ve assembled the parts can the gun have potential use.

“Kazu, I don’t see what you’re getting so riled up about.” Sano said smugly as he put his books from school into his bookcase.
The middle-schooler frizzled but as far as words went, he said absolutely nothing.
“All things considered, it wasn’t a horrible thing, was it?” He crossed his room, still smiling like the cat that ate the canary. “I should hope that I wasn’t horrible, at least.”
Still nothing.
“Besides it was barely a kiss. We can agree on that, right?” Sano finally sat by his desk, chair turned to Kazu who was at the door.
“What the hell!??”
“I would appreciate it if you didn’t yell, Ka-“
“Don’t give me that, I know this you soundproofed this room as soon as you were able to.”
Sano wisely kept his mouth shut into a tightly amused smile.
Kazu crossed his arms, leaning against the wall. “You don’t just kiss someone and not have it mean something.”
The Iron Clock chuckled lightly. “I agree.”
“And you- “ Kazu swallowed. “What?”
“You said ‘You don’t just kiss someone and not have it mean something.’ I said ‘I agree.’”
“You… do?”
“I do.”
Oh.
Kazu was now denying the fact that he spent a portion of last night trying to figure out the meaning of Sano’s actions. “…Then what’s it mean?”
Sano stood up and crossed towards Kazu, who was determined not to look away. Placing a hand behind him he reached for the door…
And pulled it shut.
“Would you like to know, Kazu-kun?” He asked, slowly taking off his glasses.
Kazu hesitated, and then looked at him squarely. “Yes.”
He leaned forwards. “Then I’m guessing you wouldn’t hate to try kissing again?”
If the blush on Kazu’s cheeks wasn’t enough of an answer, Sano didn’t know what was.

And then, if you wish, you can pull the trigger.

His current position, backed against the wall of a sound-proofed bedroom, fingers twined in dark hair, didn’t help the nagging that kissing Sano Yasuyoshi was something you just didn’t do. He couldn’t exactly place what was worse: Being in this position or not having the drive to move away.
However, when slick fingers had found their way under his shirt, thinking had become secondary. He moaned before realizing that he did and was too focused on Sano’s touch to concentrate on humility.
It was the moment when kisses became bruises, tearing at something deeper than flesh that Kazu pulled away. And although he knew he was inhaling air, all he could feel were the same damnable flames as before, licking his lips, curling in his throat. Choking him. Hoping that he would asphyxiate on this fire and burn on lust.
“Stop…” He said, muttering into the ear of his tormenter, who had began to place kisses against his neck. His voice had gone hoarse from the force his own hunger had come.
“You told me to tell you.” Sano mumbled, still kissing his throat, igniting small fires in his chest. “Besides…” Hands traced his waistband and he flinched, realizing that it took everything he had not to press into it the touch. The hands moved away slowly after Kazu gave a look that booked no argument, but not until the fingers left a dangerous lingering feeling that tingled through his legs.
“Besides?”
“Your hands are still wrapped around me.” That irritating vibrato that always managed to creep into his voice filled Kazu’s senses and drove them wild. He knew that it would grate his pride, or whatever he had left of it. Still, he wasn’t one to change his ways for the sake of another person’s comfort.
Quickly, Kazu fumbled his arms away, folding them, before turning to put on his shoes that had fallen unceremoniously by the door.
A hand found his wrist. “Where are you going?”
Kazu jerked it away and focused back to tying his laces. “To where I’m supposed to be.” Ikki’s room.
“Forgive me for delaying you.”
Kazu looked up at him for a second, hoping that that wasn’t a joke. If it were, it was a terrible one.
He chuckled lightly to himself as Kazu reached for the door. “You might want to zip up.”
“What?” he looked down to find that both his hoodie and his fly had been zipped downwards. “What the hell?! I was here for five minutes!”
He chuckled. “I just thought you’d want to know.”
Kazu turned away and jerked both zippers up before Sano could see the red hue on the bridge of his nose. Damn homo-bastard.
