I will give you a proper comment, because holy shit, this fic is a masterpiece.

It takes a while - a second - for him to realize that it's his voice that's screaming.
At first I thought that it was Kyungsoo's parents that were fighting, but this line made me see if was really Jongin and he that were doing so.

Jongin drinks too much.
I felt the horror from that sentence before I read it.

and some part of him says that there's no hope anyway, so drown while you can.
Drown while you can. /Drown while you can./ Oh, my freaking gosh, this line totally took me. I am screaming so hard right now, because I can't. I really honestly can't.

I understand what you mean when you say that writing this tore you apart. It tore me apart just by reading it, so you conveyed your feelings really truly in this.
