1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
many many things! written a paper before the night before it was due... drank alcohol... peed with a boy in the stall next to me...

2. Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i dont remember mine from last year. i think i told myself id start running again this year... that hasnt happened yet

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
no

4. Did anyone close to you die?
no

5. What countries did you visit?
Honduras :-)

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
a really cool internship this summer.. please please

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
these days are always negative... probably the night of festivus.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
doing well first semester

9. What was your biggest failure?
hmmm... earlier in 2006 i thought it was not getting into bowdoin. but im pretty much over that.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
i guess my back was still kind of mean to me

11. What was the best thing you bought?
my i-home so i can wake up to whatever song i want :-)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
hmm. my mom because she was patient with me when i was all freaked out before school started, and she came and visited me and took me out to lunch a couple times, and because i love her in general.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
some of hilary's stupid catty prissy friends

14. Where did most of your money go?
south africa trip.... my bank account is so sad now

15. What did you get excited about?
coming back to my friends at home again!

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?
the soundtrack from step up... it is the "pre-going out" music among my friends at conn

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? about the same
ii. thinner or fatter? i gained 5 pounds... but i also grew 3/4 inch
iii. richer or poorer? definitely poorer. sad.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
spending time with hilary.

haha kathy i have to agree: dealing with stupid, pointless angst

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
with my family here and in buffalo.. it already happened

nope

well if it doesnt mean it in the literal sense, but just like... a one-night hookup.... 3.

the office

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
my ex-roommate jordan... but i dont really hate her, i mostly just laugh at her. okay that is mean. but shes psycho.

26. What was the best book you read?
i am reading this book now called monique and the mango rains and it's written by a girl who was in the peace corps in africa for 2 years about her experience and i really like it.. it makes me really excited yay :-) i also really liked cat's cradle by kurt vonnegut.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
mmm... imogen heap.

28. What did you want and get?
to have a good experience in the first semester of college

29. What did you want and not get?
acceptance to certain schools.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
damnit, i WANTED to see little miss sunshine! oh well. so i cannot put that like kathy and zeinu. but "the pursuit of happyness" was really sweet... you should see it.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
i was 18 and my friend laura at school had a little party for me.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
i think it was a pretty satisfying year! a longer summer :-)

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
trying to look nice but being infinitely unable to cross the important line into "stylish".... oh well. as long as i dont look ridiculous.

34. What kept you sane?
friends, phone calls to home, writing in my journal. and i dont mean this one, like a real one.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
mmmm heath

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
yes i agree kathy, the war in iraq and how it has drawn out muuuch longer than george bush forecasted. and george bush being in office, in general. and the fact that he wont sign anything about global warming.

37. Who did you miss?
everything and everyone about home

38. Who were the best new people you met?
of course, the people at conn! especially becca, laura, susannah, justin, ben, and yes, even rich, i suppose.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
Having fun and being a little crazy is good as long as you keep it at the perfect moderate balance.
