cuz it IS! well technically. you know.
im making myself update now because i wont be home for a couple of days and then ill forget and thats sad. but anyway. dec 23= christmas eve eve= festivus= amazing, as you may/may not know.. which is a party in and of itself. so yeah.
today i went downtown (again!) kind of early (which means, getting up before 2pm, which isnt happening tomorrow) with amanda! as per tradition, we went on a sweet tour of midtown, including dylans candy bar and fao schwarz, as seen here:
how cute are we? oh i know. they completely changed the store around (ceilings... lol) and they let us play on the big piano! which rullled... and we got bags of candy and stuff. we did a lot of walking in the rain but thats okay, and we got movie theater popcorn without actually going to see a movie. not anything new tho, lol. although we didnt have enough time to go to get tea, we DID get to go see santa at macys in herald square, where, on the jungle madness of escalators, the realization of what went on this time last year came up. wow, can you believe its a year? like really? oh man, too funny. ohhhh senior year, so many (hilariously bad) mistakes...
sooo anywaysss of course the moment i step off the train onto the bronxville station platform is when the rain decides to be, like, torrential. my pants were so heavily soaked through that they kept falling down! hahaaa so whatever, i got changed and all classy for colleens party and then picked up mary and bunky, yeah dinner party! alot went on, including an epic guess who battle between owen and mary and some sketchy charades. oh but we had a christmas singalong! super cute! and paper crowns and christmas cracker thingys! it was an enjoyable time, i must say.
so tomorrow (today?) is gonna be a little rediculous.
last year's christmas eve entry might give you a little bit of a refresher course as to why my family is incredibly rediculous... and this year might get even more rowdy. how is this possible, you might wonder? im sure youre already aware of the fact that theres a lot of us, and we're all quite loud and animated, and we can get a little (i really mean "a lot") overwhelming/intimidating. especially when one (my cousin brett) decides to introduce a significant other (his boyfriend) to the fam. christmas eve, not the best choice in this particular situation. everyone's inhibitions are at a year-long low, and my grandmother is going to have an absolute field day. she forgets things (or, you know, everything) and i cant wait for the inappropriateness. since the rest of us are either single or married, which to her, is no fun. poor brett...
christmas eve is going to be at my sister's new house this year (bc she wants to show it off, understandably!) and my mom and i are going to sleep over, so i can play santa for joseph again.. yayyyy! then we're going to my aunt laura's house in pearl river cuz my mom doesnt feel like dealing with julies in-laws or father this year. which usually isnt a problem, but whatever, i wont have to face the glenn inquisition this year. thennn we're staying over again, at my aunt's house, and going to dinner at my aunt patsy's on the 26th. i shoulddd be home early enough for merrigan's partay (hopefully?) or whatever else is going on... because the next morning we're driving out to connecticut to my otherrrrr aunt mary's house (havent had christmas with them in like 5 years, no lie, dad's side of the family). the 28th we're going to see wicked for me and my sister's birthdays (YAY i totally cant wait!), and the 29th is of course the super AMAZING dancer partayyyy at caitie cullen's. busy busy!!
new years/my birthday is still questionable... any suggestions??
MERRY CHRISTMAS (and happy festivus!) everyone!!! :)
