Life sure is fun lately. Since the start of May many things have happened. Sure, everyday life has been going on like normal. Well, almost. I got pay rise (small one, but still) and got to work with another branch of our office for a while. My regular sales work is not going as well as it should and my boss gave me some words about that. I know I'm doing something wrong with it, but haven't yet found a way to overcome it. But I'm not giving up just yet.
And since it's summer, it's also a time for summer holiday. Here schools have break from the start of June to the middle of August. Because we (that is me and my ex) wanted to get decent long holiday for both boys, we actually spent time thinking how to properly divide summer this year. Last year we just kind of decided to have two and two weeks and that was it, this year had to figure out how to get camps and birthdays to fit. Ended up having to switch weekends at some point anyway, but do far it has worked well. Unfortunately it also means I had to use all my 5 weeks of holiday during summer, but luckily kiddos will stay at their dad's when autumn break and winter break are going. (School year after next one is whole different matter though)
So far we have been having loads of fun. Entertainment park with eldest and overnight at granny's for youngest. Visiting relatives and different attractions around here. And just staying at home relaxing. Next two week's time we'll have eldest's birthday party and scouts camp. And my nieces are visiting.
I decided to take my Japanese studies a bit more seriously too and downloaded app for it to my phone. That means that for two weeks now, my phone has been reminding me to do exercises very evening. I'm bit worried if I will get tired of this again, since it's rather slow paced, but so far it's been very fun and I feel like I actually understand more than few weeks back. Also my Japanese study book came with audio CD and lately I've been listening to it while driving to and from work. Makes me feel proud when I can understand full sentences. Need to start brushing up my kanji though. Desperately.
And life surely goes on and on. My little darlings are big boys already (5 and nearly 9 yrs) and for the first time since break-up... I have an actual bed. Not a loft, not a mattress or kipping at couch. NO. I have an actual bed and I love it. Hopefully I can now start sleeping better and perhaps that will also help with my work and what not. You know.. levels of energy and so on.
