I'm excited. I have a couple of prompts from friends in a friendly prompt challenge between friends and I hope to tie them into this. It will be fun and plus having a deadline tends to make me move faster. ;)

There isn't prompts you just write what you want within the time frame and general story so go for what you want to write.

Is there a length limit for fic? I was thinking my writing partner and I could come up with something between 2500 and 5000 words, if that will work for you?

Yippee! So we'll get some big damn hero Sam, after all. Ah, is there a minimum word limit? I've been writing more drabbles than anything else, so I've gotten pretty minimalist, word-wise. Plus, my writing speed is molasses-slow for anything longer than a drabble, so I really need to know the word floor.

Can we create our own art to go along with our fic? I'm writing a fic, but I'm an artist too so I wanted to make a banner for the fic. I just wanted to ask in case you were planning to pair artists to fics, or something.

Nope, no pairing or prompting this year which is a bit of a departure. You can certainly do your own banner and will hopefully post it on the fanart thread--you can compete in both categories (if you're so inclined).

I think you saw the answers in the other thread but to recap, you can definitely make a banner for you fic. There won't be any pairings between writers and artists this year so it's great that you're talented and can do both. I'm jealous!
