Happy Easter!
Ok, in like 3 minutes! I had the best day today. Summer had a really rough sleep night last night, so she made up for it by letting me sleep in until 10:30. Can I just say "yeehaw!"? It rocked my world. Then, she was totally chill and watched Aladdin with me, while I alternately put scads of laundry in the machine. She then took a two hour nap. We then went to my mom's, where she ate lunch and then was an ANGEL for my pops while my mom and I went to Easter services at church.
Church rocked! Let me just preface this by saying I have always gone to Catholic church, but consider myself Christian (I was never confirmed). My parents go to this rockin church called "New Song", and I love it. Mike even likes it, and he hates church. I have only been to three services there, plus a Christmas play, but everytime I go, I LOVE it. Tonight's service was so uplifting, I actually teared up during one of the songs, and the sermon. My gosh, that is SO not like me! On the way home from church, I called my dad to check on Summer and they were napping! TOGETHER! She was asleep on his chest, like a friggin Hallmark card. So then we get home, and they watch her while I make a much needed trip to the grocery store. As a reward, I bring them din din. Summer and I then went home, and she proceeded to eat a bottle and go to bed, with NO fuss. She's now been asleep for almost 2 hours without a peep. Can I just say, I am tickled pink! I am off to bed as soon as I make some yummy fruit salad. Oh, I forgot, Summer got the cutest book of prayers and a Pooh bear dressed like a bunny from my folks for Easter. He says all kinds of cute sayings, and she just loves him! SO cute!
