^ This, minus the 50/50 part as I am 110% for comm-based.
Besides, apart from the new tag system and new comms, there's honestly really little changed. Replying to dudes is the same. The general basis is the same. As a player in a comm-based game, you will hardly notice the difference after the change is done, and things will be plenty more organized.
So just... give it a chance, at least. Then determine whether or not you don't like it.
Eh I just really liked the idea of updating their actual journals rather than moving everything elsewhere. That way, if something happems to the comm, we still have our stuff (let's face it, the odds of us ALL being hacked or whatever are mighty slim, wheras comms have a higher risk). Plus it's neater and more personal.
It's not to say I'm against the comm decision and I'm sure it's more convenient.
I also liked that each character had their own journal. Yes, the add/drop thing was annoying. But the fact that each character had their own journal, something personal, made me feel that I was more "in character" whenever I updated it. I never had to think about "okay which character am I playing as right now?" since I could clearly see the differences between their journals. It just felt natural, I guess.

I hope it doesn't intimidate you or anything, BJ 8C.

I used to be in a large journal based comm, with 500+ members. It was...quite frankly a pain, I don't know how they did it.
If we plan on advertising our game, we could show it off with how nice it looks and how organized it is with these changes.

IDK maybe that's just me.
