Lord,
Give my patience, let me turn the other cheek. I know it is just a lesson in humility... let me believe in myself once again.
I don't desire the pain and agony I feel, why should I let someone's words affect me? Oh Lord...I can't survive on my own, I am solely dependent upon you.
Let me learn Lord, I need your spirit, your presence, your strength to not go back to the pain and to conquer it within my own heart. This wound may not close again for a while...I suppose when one has the emotional tendencies of a 12 year old one is given to being rather dramatic.
