A Crazy Theory

I've always noticed that certain places have relentless history of violence (Jersulem and Guatemala pop to mind) while other places have history of relative peace especially when examining the external affects influencing the culture (India and Costa Rica pop to mind).  Now, recently I've been studing signals and how the EMR (Electro-Magnetic Radiation) propagates.  Two facts made me think of a crazy theory to explain these phenominal occurances: 1) The brain emits extremely low-powered, low-frequency EMR known as brainwaves.  2) There exists background radiation known as "grass" throughout the planet.

So now, what if this grass influence people's thought patterns?  Causing aggression and weird behavour to propagate without logical reason?

After doing a little more internet research, there seems to be something called Shumann resonance.  Apparently, Winfried Otto Shumann discovered that "a great big EMR belt surrounding the entire earth and the nominal average frequencies observed are 7.8, 14, 20, 26, 33, 39, and 45 Hz with slight diurnal variation, however 7.8Hz seems to be the most popular frequency for it."
7.8 Hz also seems to be the frequency associated with the theta subconcious brainwaves.  Theta activity is defined by international Federation of Electrophysiology and Clinical Neurophysiology as a frequency band of 4-8 Hz.  "Theta is the frequency range from 4 Hz to 8 Hz and is associated with drowsiness, childhood, adolescence and young adulthood. This EEG frequency can sometimes be produced by hyperventilation. Theta waves can be seen during hypnagogic states such as trances, hypnosis, deep day dreams, lucid dreaming and light sleep and the preconscious state just upon waking, and just before falling asleep. "

OKay so could it be that these peaks in the Schumann resonance alters the human thoughts?  Well, it's crazy, but it does explain how a physical place can account for people's attitude.
What do you think?
