So basically the rally was amazing. It was so great to see so many people (The New York Times estimates 20 to 30 thousand attended) band together and stand up for those people suffering in Darfur. Hopefully the message was heard (the NY Times def heard it, it made the front cover) and the UN and Bush will listen to the message. In the 21st Century, a genocide such as that occurring in Darfur should not happen and when it does, swift action should be taken. Action has not been taken yet, so for what exactly is the UN and Bush waiting? So much for "Not on my watch," huh? Innocents in Darfur are being raped, murdered and pillaged and yet an UN Peacekeeping Force has yet to be sent there. Does anyone else see a problem with that?
Enough of my political-ness (if that's even what you call it).
Oh yah and the city was awesome. Times Square was amazing.
