Week One of Physical Rehabilitation

Nov 02, 2008 09:45

I have just about finished the first week of the four week residential CFS physical rehab program that I'm attending in Melbourne.
It's been really good so far. I've made new friends and do fun activities like hydrotherapy and gym.

There are three other 16-17 year olds doing the program with me. Beth and I are sharing a room. Lauren and Rhys have their own rooms.

We have hydro twice a week, gym every afternoon, school every day, psyche once a week, and rest brakes and free time every day. During my rest times I usually read, or draw, or watch tv, or go on the net. During my free time I usually go skateboarding. The floor above (the fourth floor) is almost always really quiet, so I skate up there sometimes. The corridors are really smooth, so I can go really fast. I love speeding around corners. If there ever are people up there then I just skate around the hospital, or on the weekends I go to the shops down the street. (But I don't tell anyone I go to the shops, cause I don't think I'm supposed to leave the hospital grounds.. Meh..)

I went to the shops yesterday arvo. Didn't get back to my room till about 7:30 or so.. Didn't really matter, it was still light outside. =)
While out I picked some flowers and put them in a cup in my room.

Each bed has it's own tv. They have the usual stations (not ABC2), and there's also the Discovery Channel, and Sky News. They aren't very interesting though.

I got wireless internet today. I don't know how often I'll update, but I'll probably check my Hotmail and Bebo accounts every day.

xx
