This is just a thought...but from the impression I got at the end of the manga, X-Day will never come. Before, Polaris, Mr. Money, 11, and Jangalian thought they were alone in the world. But now they have each other to depend on. They might get mad and say "X-day is tomorrow!" but it's the thought that that day might happen gets them through. It's the planning of X-Day that brought them together, and now that they have each other, X-Day isn't necessary.

Jessica, Thats why the poem says "a date undecided." X-Day is necessary for them. The thought of it is, so saying X-Day is unecessary is untrue. They still need X-Day, even though they have each other.
