I also fell down the stairs today. Okay, I'm being dramatic. It was like, two stair steps I fell down while I was carrying a giant chair on my back. I fell, and scraped my leg to hell then fell on my right knee, while the chair hit me in the back of the head.
Overall, the lesson to this is that I shouldn't trust stairs. Or my own judgment. Did someone say pictures? Here you go:
So I've been quite dead from my poor livejournal. My dialup barely loaded anything anymore. Me and Issac finally moved into our apartment where I have nice cable Internet. Oooh the Internet oddities that await.
It was a big drama moving in though sadly. Which is a nice scarred memory of the first time I've ever moved into apartment. Issac, his brother, and his Dad came along to help us move. His dad drove Issac's non-a/c car, which had to have been horrible for him. Issac and his brother drove the truck that carried a trailer. Only things I brought was my computer desk and this random chester drawer I found in the garage. It was pretty small. I drove in my car which was filled to the brim of all my stuff.
So I said I would go get the apartment keys at the leasing office and they would unload at the apartment complex. I've already paid and signed the lease before we moved in. We also already set up electricity for the apartment. So all I needed was the keys.
I go in and the lady had a very puzzled look on her face when I said I was here for #219 keys. After a nice long silence she tells me that someone has already moved in that apartment. Then she begins to explain how our files were all missing. Everything. The entire lease contract, my payment, my application papers and anything else. I asked how the in hell this was possible. She really didn't have an answer for me expect that on the day that we signed the lease, it was that managers last day. The lady that was currently helping me is the new manager. Back when we signed and payed for everything that was her first day there and she remembered seeing us. All she really said was how it seems that it can't be an accident that our entire file was missing. Hinting that the manger who left may have did something not ethical.
So, I was really frustrated at that point and I couldn't help but just cry. Everyone's all waiting outside in the heat and all that preparation was shot to hell. I could tell she was sincere in how sorry she was, so I know she personally wasn't trying to dupe us or anything. She told me that she had another apartment, same floor plan and everything that was ready to move in. So that's where we are now and in some way is better than the one that we were going to move in to. So, perhaps it was for the better.
She compensated us with a month free of electricity, a month free for parking (you can get a number spot under the uh...not sure what you call it, but there's only a few spots), having the carpet steam cleaned (for some reason it was messy when we got here), new floor for the bathroom (it's currently peeling), and a going to install a digital thermostat. So,that's better than nothing.
Right now we are almost done with setting everything up inside. Our a/c leaked which someone came in to temporarily fix it. It's leaking again today, but it's not as much as it used to be.
Btw, right now we are sleeping on the floor. Fun stuff. =)
I shall post pixs later. Until then, adieu my LJ. Adieu.
