Merlin Pimpin' Time!
It all began as a slightly drunken conversation at a Torchwood convention, in which accioscar mentioned many Merlin fics and vids and the rest of us repeatedly replied with 'Uh, don't know it. Have you got a link?' So, accioscar, like Frankenstein once did, began creating a monster, which grew and grew until it beathed pure life and opened its eyes and lived. Or, to be slightly less dramatic, she created and posted a very large recs list and then later on she posted an even better one.

I'm currently working my way through the fic recs and am terribly impressed. Damn good stuff. I'm going to rec my favourites from the list as I go through them in an attempt to encourage/enable/brainwash/please/stimulate/be helpful to/convince my lovely flisties.
Here are my favourites so far:
Accidental Memory In The Case Of Death by derryere
Tony O does not befriend losers. Tony O is not gay, not crazy, he is not particularly nice and he is most definitely not royalty. Destiny disagrees.
The Mirror, The Sword and The Shield by aelora
Fate is a fickle mistress - or rather, the Fates are. When the Wyrd Sisters offer Nimueh a second chance to fulfill her destiny, she takes the opportunity to seek revenge on Merlin. When Uther enters the equation, Nimueh's victory seems certain. Loyalties and allegiances are tested, making Merlin question the lengths that Arthur will go to in order to protect him. Through daring escapes, attempted coups, and fierce battles, Merlin and Arthur discover that the twisting threads of fate are not easily understood, and that the webs they spin cannot be readily escaped.
The Crown of the Summer Court by astolat
"The king sent me to get you," Merlin said, with a tone that implied strongly that he wasn't rolling his eyes where Arthur could see, but just wait until his back was turned. "He said you're to get changed into formal clothes and meet him in the Great Hall, there's a delegation coming from the Summer Court."
