Title: Strange happenings.
Rating: G
Pairing: Leeteuk-focus
Summary: It was supposed to be a restful and peaceful Sunday but that all changes when unusual things start to happen.
“HYUNG”
Leeteuk sighed, his head was throbbing painfully from the lack of sleep he had been having for the past five days. The last thing he needed was one of his Dongsaengs coming to him whining. Don’t get him wrong he loved them all from the bottom of his too big a heart but taking care and living with fourteen of them sometimes got a bit too much for him to handle.
“HYUNG!!!!!!!!!”
That high pitched voice could only belong to one person, their eternal magnae Ryeowook. Leeteuk winced as his voice rang out one more time accompanied by the sound of running footsteps. Leeteuks bedroom door burst open revealing a more than slightly out of breath Ryeowook.
“H…yung you…have to…”
Immediately the worrying mother streak came out of Leeteuk, in a matter of seconds he was standing beside Ryeowook. Leeteuk had never seen Ryeowook so puffed out before, his cheek were flushed from the run. Ryeowook had his hand place on each of he’s knees trying to regain the oxygen he had lost.
“Wookie what’s wrong”
“No time…Go”
Ryeowook took hold of a very confused Leeteuks hand and pulled him along running. Doors whirled by until finally Ryeowook stopped. Leeteuk wiped the sweat that had been produced from running off with the back of his hand. Small white soft balls fell in front of Leeteuks eyes. Oh great I’ve officially gone crazy, how am I going to take care of them if I’m delusional as well he thought. Leeteuk held his hand out to catch some of the white balls. There was no way snow could come through a roof. Unless in the last day it have developed the ability to teleport through the roof and fall inside. Okay now Leeteuk really was crazy.
Upon contact Leeteuks skin on his hand became cold as it formed into liquid. The ones that fell after did the same thing. Only when a small puddle of water was formed in Leeteuks hand did he accept it was indeed snowing inside. He flicked the cold water off shivering as slowly warmth was returned to his hand.
“I swear Hyung it wasn’t me”
What wasn’t him? Ryeowook looked too cute and innocent to be guilty of anything. Though Leeteuk had learnt that the cute little boy did have some deep dark secrets. Ryeowook pointed up to the ceiling of the room. Leeteuk followed Ryeowooks arm what he saw caused his mind to freeze.
…
…
What the hell!!! Leeteuks mind caught up to the moment. How the hell did a huge hole, big enough for three grown men to squeeze through comfortably at the same time, get on the ceiling and roof. Surely something that could do that would’ve made some noise. A ceiling doesn’t disappear all by itself. Well at least Leeteuk knew he wasn’t crazy but he had to question the sanity of whoever created it. Leeteuks first thoughts as they always do went to his beloved Dongsaengs. Snow meant cold temperature. Cold temperature meant cold bodies. Cold bodies meant sneezes. Sneezes meant sick Dongsaengs. Leeteuk couldn’t let his Dongsaengs get sick, if things went his way they would always be happy and healthy.
Right so he had to fix the hole…but how? And could someone please tell him how it got there in the first place! Leeteuk was completely baffled.
“I was just walking past when I saw snow falling then I found the hole. Hyung what do we do? How did it get there?”
Today wasn’t Leeteuks day. It just got worse when another loud voice ran through the house practically shaking it.
“HYUNG!!!!!”
Shindong came running, Donghae and Eunhyuk at his heels. Expressions of confusion and something that looked like a what-the-hell-is-going-on look. For the look of their clothes they had just finished their dance practice. Donghae opened his mouth to say something but as all three got closer their expression changed into wtf ones. Who could blame them it’s not every day it snows inside. Shindong was the first one to recover shaking his head once before he turned to Leeteuk.
“Hyung the fridge it’s gone!!”
How the hell could a fridge just disappear? That question might need to get in line. Leeteuk was still trying to figure out the creation of the hole.
“HYUNG!”
Ah what now?! What could possibly go wrong now? Not only does Leeteuk have to worry about his Dongsaengs getting sick, he had to worry about them starving and feeding them…how can you serve a home cooked meal with no food or fridge. Hangeng came running towards them, their two new family members following behind. They had only come to join them one week ago from china so their Korean was still rusty. The smaller one with really cute cheeks named Henry started talking first.
“I saw something white big and strange on our roof”
Zhou Mi the taller of them spoke next.
“It looked like a fridge. Where’s the snow coming from?”
Leeteuk sighed. So far a hole had somehow appeared in their ceiling, their fridge was missing and two of their family members were under the impression that it was on the roof. Could the day get any worse? Apparently it could someone lightly clapped their hands together. Snow fell down from the hole in the ceiling onto Leeteuk. The cold matter slid down the spaces between his clothes coming in contact with his bare skin. The contact caused Leeteuk to yelp sending more snow crashing down.
Soon enough Leeteuk was buried under a small mountain of snow.
“Leeteuk Hyung!”
Multiple voices called out to him. It was cold so very cold. Leeteuks teeth chattered from the cold ice. He pushed the snow making it fall and crumble all around him. His sight was attacked by seven concerned faces.
“Are you okay Hyung?”
Leeteuks teeth chattered but still he nodded his head in answer. That was just one of the things that Leeteuk always did. He would never intentionally make his Dongsaengs worry about him. He held everything that would make them worry about him in and solely focused on their needs and wants. A big white puffed jacket was handed to him. Quickly he stripped off his now damp shirt and put on the warm jacket.
Yep today was defiantly not his day. Leeteuk waited. Everyone was confused as to what he was waiting for? Was he thinking of a solution to all their problems? In their mind yes in his mind no. I suppose that’s not entirely true he was waiting for a miracle. But mostly he was waiting for another of his Dongsaengs to come running spreading more ‘good’ News. Silence bathed the room. Leeteuk let out a sigh after what felt like eternity.
“Okay now first we need to make sure the fridge is up there. Donghae, Eunhyuk go and get the ladder. Make sure to put on warm clothes everyone okay?”
And break. Everyone went their separate ways doing what Leeteuk asked them. Leeteuks head throbbed twice as hard pounding in his head. So much for Sundays being a rest days. The call of Leeteuks name made him jump. His tall handsome Dongsaeng Siwon stood in front of him eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“Please tell me that the house isn’t on fire?”
If Siwons eyebrows went any higher they were going to disappear into the hair on his scalp.
“The house isn’t on fire Hyung but why is it snowing”
Leeteuk felt suddenly so tired, as if he had aged drastically in the last fifteen to twenty minutes. Looking at Siwons reaction when he noticed the hole had Leeteuk in stitches. His eyebrows shot up, eye threatening to pop out of their sockets and he stumble back. Leeteuk shouldn’t laugh at his Dongsaengs shock but the way Siwon moved it was as if he was shooting a movie. Leeteuk placed a very caring hand on Siwons shoulder.
“But…Hyung…A hole…How?”
“I wish I knew Siwon, I wish I knew. “
The sound of running footsteps filled the room and sure enough everyone had gathered the next second. The ladder was placed to the hole. What should have been something as easy as someone climbing up the ladder turned into an argument of who got to climb up? Leeteuk was right in the middle trying to calm everyone down. During all the commotion Ryeowook took it upon himself to climb up the ladder.
“HYUNG The fridge it is up here!! AHH”
Ryeowooks cry drew the attention of everyone in the room. They watched in horror as a startled Ryeowook started to fall backwards off the ladder. Leeteuk dived catching the falling Ryeowook in his hands.
“Ryeowook are you okay?”
“Hyung It…It moved. I reached out for it and it moved.”
Did Ryeowook hit his head? He reached out for the fridge and it moved? That wasn’t impossible. Well come to think about it after all that had happened maybe it was possible. So let’s recap a huge hole somehow developed in their roof/ceiling, the fridge went missing, they found the fridge in the roof and now that same fridge is moving of its own free will. Today was defiantly not a good day. Henry helped Ryeowook stand up. Siwon extended his hand and helped Leeteuk up.
“Thanks Siwon”
“Hyung what are we going to do?”
Leeteuks Dongsaengs all looked up at him expecting an answer. If only he had something to tell them. He had no idea what he was going to do. It’s too dangerous to send someone up there to get the fridge they may slip off the roof. Even if they managed to obtain the fridge it still left a big question about the hole. How did it end up there and how were they going to close it up?
“HYUNG”
Yesung, Kibum and Heechul came running. They all had a slightly panicked looks on their faces. Oh no, what happened now. All three of them joined the crowd surrounding Leeteuk. Heechul was fanning his face with his hands. Yesungs hands were shaking; he looked all paranoid and jittery. Kibum had a serious expression on his face.
“Leeteuk Hyung my room has completely disappeared!”
“My little baby is gone”
Yesung of course was referring to his turtle.
Leeteuk groaned a massaged his throbbing head. He couldn’t take much more. How is it possible that all these things are happening? Nothing made sense anymore. Everyone started talking amongst themselves. Their voices just seemed to blur into one big buzz. Up ahead there was the sound of thumps and thuds. What the hell was happening up there? Everyones head tilted up as if trying to see through the ceiling into the second floor. There couldn’t possibly be a monster up there right? There was the sound of heavy footsteps, seconds later three figures emerged on the staircase.
“Sungmin let go of Kyuhyun this instant!”
Sungmin had the youngest member Kyuhyun in a tight head lock. Kangin walked behind the two of them a bright pink string tied around one of his finger.
“Hyung Kyuhyun has something to say”
Sungmin, Kyuhyun and Kangin stopped just in front of Leeteuk who had moved forward to meet them. Everyone else gathered close around Leeteuk curious as to what exactly it was Kyuhyun had to confess.
“He may have something to say but I’m sure you don’t need to hold him like that. Let him go Sungmin”
Sungmin released Kyuhyun from the head lock but still stood extremely close to him. Kyuhyun rubbed his neck trying to get feeling back in it. Leeteuk noticed that Kyuhyun wouldn’t look him in the eye.
“Kyuhyun what is it?”
“I didn’t mean to hyung, I only did the fridge. The rest he did by himself”
What did he mean by he only did the fridge? And who was this other person he was referring to? Leeteuk could hear the others behind him whispering to each other. Leeteuk stretched his hand out towards Kyuhyun gently placing his hand on his shoulder.
“OWW”
Kangins yell make Leeteuk jump.
“He bit me!”
Oh great now Kangin is hallucinating. Who exactly Ws he thinking bit him. Come to think of it didn’t Kyuhyun mention something about someone doing the rest whatever the rest was. Could they both be hallucinating? Leeteuk noticed that everyone had moved further back from these two hallucinating members. At least he’s not the only one who thinks that they’re crazy. Sungmin steps forwards snatching at the air around Kangins hand. No not Sungmin as well Leeteuk groaned.
“Here hyung look”
Sungmin held his fist out for Leeteuk to peer inside. Leeteuk peered inside probably just to humor them. Sungmin opened his fist fully revealing a small little pixie. Leeteuks first thought was that Kyuhyun had shrunk and sprouted wings. His second thought went along the lines of oh my gosh I’m just as crazy as them.
“Let go of me you overgrown giant.”
It spoke. Oww and it bit him. That pixie was real, small little ruby coloured tears appeared on Leeteuks fingers.
“I want to see!”
“No me first!”
Leeteuk was pushed aside by his Dongsaengs who were all excited to see this pixie. Their voices grew to an unbearable level due to them speaking all at the same time.
“Quiet!”
Everything went quiet.
“Mr pixie are you the one who made the hole in the ceiling.”
“What’s it to you. Ow you’re crushing my wing you …”
“I suggest you answer him or you’ll be a one winged fairy”
Sungmin squeezed tightly on the pixies wing. A high pitched wail filled the room shattering some of the precious glass that decorated the house.
“Sungmin enough”
Sungmin stopped squeezing tightly on the wing that was settled between his two fingers. The wail stopped immediately followed by line upon lines of colourful sentences and phrases. Everyone gathered close around Sungmin and the pixie.
“Mr pixie were you the one who caused all the unnatural things that have been happening around here today?”
It looked like the pixie was going to cause up a storm but slight pressure from Sungmins fingers made him change his mind.
“Yes and what are you going to do about it?”
Leeteuk inwardly groaned, it was like dealing with a stubborn and spoilt child. He was glad that none of his Dongsaengs acted like this or he would have a full head of grey hairs.
“May I ask why you did it?”
“We were bored. Now unhand me!!”
We? Who was we? Leeteuk turned to Sungmin confused. Was there another pixie around here? Why was Kyuhyun trying to sink into the ground below him? Everything clicked. Kyuhyun must have somehow summoned this pixie and together they turned what was supposed to be a relaxing Sunday into something completely opposite. The only confirmation Leeteuk needed was given to him when Kyuhyun met his eye.
In situations like this Leeteuk knew very well how to read his Dongsaengs. It came in handy when trying to pry information out of them, or when they kept him in the dark to figure out what their problems were.
“Mr pixie is it possible for you to return everything back to the way it was?”
“Yeah but why would I do that?”
Everyone gasped. No one ever dared to talk to Leeteuk like that. He was like an angel without wings. A human with a pure soul. Leeteuk actually feared for his rude pixies life. Sungmin while he looked like sweet and innocent could be quite macho and tough when he needed to be.
“What do we have to do to get you to return everything back?”
Siwon had leaned really close to the pixie when he asked the question. It seems you don’t have to be human for Siwon to treat you with the utter most respect. Leeteuk picked up immediately on the look the pixie shot to the jacket he was wearing. It was Leeteuks favourite jacket that had been given to him by his Dongsaengs the first year we were together. With great regret he shifted out of it and handed it towards the pixie. The pixie snatched up the jacket. Sungmin let go and the pixie disappeared with a puff.
“Kibum go check to see if your room is back, Eunhyun, Shindong, Donghae if the hole is closed up take the ladder back. Hangeng check if the fridge is back. Everyone else make sure that none of your possessions have been taken and help Yesung find his turtle.”
Everyone split quickly following Leeteuks order. Leeteuk kept Kyuhyun behind. Immediately as soon as the room was free from everyone else Kyuhyun walked into Leeteuks warm embrace.
“Hyung I…”
“Shh it’s okay Kyuhyun I understand.”
Everything was returned to normal. Kibums room re-appeared. The fridge was back in its place, the hole in the ceiling patched up and Yesungs turtle was found and Kyuhyun learned never to summon a mischievous pixie ever again.
