Chapter Three: Ties
“You're going to run up to the wall, climb over it with help of the rope, jump of to the other side, then crawl under the net-”
Yoochun stopped listening because he had already decided not to do it when he heard the word 'run'.
It was noon and the sun was so hot, he was kind of scared he'd get a sunburn. He had sensitive skin after all-
“Miss General? Heechul can't do this, since he has a metal rod in his leg and all,” Yunho said. “So he's excused right?”
“Sure, he's excused,” Shirley nodded.
“Oh Shirley~” Yoochun sang, trying to get General Shirley's attention. She had been ignoring him all morning for some illogical reason. “Shirley~”
“What?” she snapped.
“I can't do this either.”
“And why's that?”
“My skin is very sensitive and I don't want to get rope burn, you know? And I don't like running when it's this hot outside. And crawling in the dirt is really unnecessary. I mean you have people who like that kind of stuff, like Junsu. But yeah, not me.”
“What he said,”Jaejoong squeaked from behind Yoochun. After the ugly encounter earlier that morning Shirley had made Jaejoong her assistant, which meant that he was hauling Shirley's huge army bag with him everywhere he went, almost collapsing from the weight.
“You're doing it,” was Shirley's short reply.
“Make me,” Yoochun frowned.
“I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to the girl standing behind you.”
“You can call me a girl, but you go all psycho-mad at me because I called you Mister Shirley? That's unfair!” Jaejoong whined. “And If I'm doing it, he's doing it!”
“Fine, you're both doing it. If you don't I'll take away all your stuff.”
“Wha?” Yoochun brought out.
“Yunho-ah!” Junsu squeaked. “RACE YOU!”
Yunho and Junsu did the course, pulling and pushing each other the whole way.
“What's wrong with those two?” Shirley mumbled.
Changmin looked around and saw that he was the only one there. The others were all lying around, waiting for their turn on the course-thing.
“Ehm...are you talking to me?” he asked nervously.
“Don't be nervous, gorgeous,” Shirley said. “You don't have to do the course if you don't want to.”
“Ehm...thanks, si-ma'am. Thanks, ma'am.”
Jaejoong and Yoochun watched Junsu and Yunho climb up the ropes, jump of the other side of the wall, crawl under a net, run through tires and the whole time they was laughing like idiots.
“Do you think Junsu still likes Yunho?” Jaejoong asked Yoochun, not taking his eyes of the two boys.
Yoochun knew about the crush Junsu had had on Yunho about a year ago. “Nope.”
“And even if he did, Yunho likes Heechul, right?”
“Nope.”
Jaejoong turned his head to look at Yoochun and frowned. “How do you know that?”
“It was a year ago, Jaejoong. They're all over it. Junsu has had a crush on like 5 people since then. And Yunho...they're just friends now,” Yoochun shrugged.
“How about you? Are you over it?”
“Over it and over it again, dude. Don't talk about that near him or I'll kill you.”
“I know, I know,”Jaejoong grinned.
Yoochun had admitted it to one person only, that he had a slight crush on Junsu for about 5 days or so. It started with the first time he jerked him of and stopped the day Junsu told him he had a crush on Yunho. Junsu's crush ended with Yunho confessing his love to Heechul and Yunho's crush ended with Heechul just wanting to be friends. Jaejoong had never admitted that Yunho was the one he had had his eyes on ever since they started high school, but Yoochun knew. And he understood why Jaejoong didn't want to confess or even admit it to anyone else. Yunho was a great guy, seemed to accept everyone and treat everyone as a friend, but one person he really didn't like was Jaejoong. He thought Jaejoong overdid it with the blond hair, the tight and ripped clothes, the emo-ish make up, the high boots. Heechul had an eccentric appearance as well, but to Yunho it didn't match up. Jaejoong was a slut. Heechul to, but that didn't matter. And the most painful thing was that Heechul and Jaejoong were like best friends.
“Girls, it's your turn,” Shirley said, tapping her foot.
“Oh really, Shirley?” Yoochun rolled his eyes.
“Stop.calling.me.that.” Shirley gritted between her teeth.
“Then stop calling us girls.”
Heechul came skipping up to them and reached up to put an arm around Shirley's shoulder. “It's really to bad I can't do it, General. I would love to get all sweaty and muddy and disgusting, but now I just have to watch as all my friends have the fun,” he sighed dramatically.
“Get your hands of me, missy,” Shirley hissed and shook Heechul's arm off. “You two. Get in those ropes, right now,”snapped at the other two before she was off to pour all her attention on Changmin.
Yoochun and Jaejoong groaned and took more time than needed to get up. “Shirley needs to get laid,” Yoochun murmured.
“True that,” Jaejoong agreed.
“Maybe Changmin should do it?” Heechul grinned. “She'd love that.”
So when they had done the whole course Jaejoong and Yoochun died. Well, kind of. Jaejoong was trying not to puke his guts out and Yoochun was lying in the shade his face buried in Junsu's stomach.
“Do you know what Yunho just told me?” Junsu said.
“Hm.”
“He said you and the new girl went on a date last week.”
“...”
“Is that a yes?”
“Does it matter?” Yoochun asked turning body to face the sky.
“Why didn't you tell me? You always tell me.”
“We didn't go on a date, we just met at the mall by coincident. We hung out. She's cool. No big deal.”
“...”
“What's that face?”
“You still should have told me.”
“Are you two girls done talking about your new shoes? It's time for lunch,”Shirley announced.
“We'll be right there, Mister General,” Yoochun said and slowly sat up. “Come on. Let's go see what kind of prison food they prepared for us.”
*Sniff Sniff* Do I smell jealousy?^^
