I have a cold! I NEVER have colds and I hope to God this one doesn't last long because I need to feel 100% for work at the moment. Never mind.
Work wasn't quite as bad as I'd suspected yesterday. Yes it was incredibly busy, and yes I was brain dead at the end of the day, but I survived smiling, if wanly. The queue started at 9am when the shop opened, and we finally got to the end of it at 4.50pm just before we shut. We all punched the air and danced a little celebration! I knew I'd be too tired to cook when I got home so I thought I'd go to the fish and chip shop but the damn thing was shut! So I had to trawl around till I eventually found a rather seedy Chinese take away open so we had that. It was a bit greasy and unappetising but served its purpose. None of us felt much like staying up for the New Year except poor little Livvy who was raring to go. We'd had a huge row with Fiona that still hasnt been resolved so none of us were in a good mood, so we went to bed! John and I had a little wine so ended up having a bit of fun on teh sofa downstairs which was nice! ;-) I was asleep at midnight!
The argument is over Fiona's computer. John wanted to borrow it for an hour and in the past when he's wanted it he's tended to just go in her room and do it without asking. So yesterday when he DID ask, she said no! She didnt want her privacy and her own space raided again. We tried to plead that it would just be for an hour, but she got all screechy and whiny and refused point blank! We reminded her who'd paid for her computer and who provided the internet connection and that it was reasonable just to let him borrow it for a short while, but she refused to budge, still screeching. So he cut her internet access off and says he won't connect it again till she acts more co-operatively and comes to a compromise and also asks him nicely to reconnect her. Again she refuses to do either so the argument continues!

I hope you have a happier start to tthe New Year than I had then, and I wish you all you wish for yourselves in 2004. *hugs* to the lot of ya!
