I'm bored now!! (And so will you be when you read this...)
Saturday was my first day back at work after christmas. I worked 1 - 9 and it was knackering! We just didn't have enough staff. There have been 18 of us in previous years, but yesterday there were just 11 of us. Argh! As the most experienced person there I had to juggle the staff around from the tills to the back area to tidy up, and make sure they all got off on their breaks on time. The queues of people returning presents and sale goods never let up all day, and it got so monotonous, just one customer after the other. I ate so much during my breaks! We all like to make up for a lousy day by enjoying our food. By 8 my eyes were glazed, but Today hasn't been that interesting either. I did have a lie in and a fantastic bath (if ya know what I mean!) We went food shopping to stock up as we've demolished all the christmas food now, turkey included! Fiona's been watching the Travel Channel on the telly and drooling over all the wonderful places you can go on holiday. We hardly ever go abroad as it seems a waste of money to me, so next year we're having a cottage holiday in the south of England, in a place called " Piddletrenthide". We partly chose it because of the name! It's in the Piddle Valley! hehehehe....sorry......lavatorial humour! :-)
Anyhoo....the kids and John have both got all next week off work,lucky buggers, so I'm going to be worn to a frazzle. Sometimes it's nice having their company and other times, I could cheerfully heave half a brick at them!!
