Bad, bad, bad news. The Unforgiveables are almost a guarantee. The referendums have been delayed, over some sort of outcry of protest about the wording from the aurors, but it will be happening soon and the general atmosphere is that the wizarding public will pass it. And worse, they've ear marked Moody to lead a training course on how to use them; he's used them before, a big scandal back in the day, so we'll have fully capable casters on the street facing us. There go the hopes that they'd been too soft in the head to get the blasted things working.
On a milder note, there are new Aurors on the grid, young ones just coming up. They're inexperience might give us the edge in a fight, but then, they might be more likely to use these unforgiveables, so I'd still be cautious around them. Also Moody's likely to be tetchy around them, like some sort of grotesque mother-hen, so if you meet him with a trainee, expect some pretty serious attacks.
Merlin's long-johns! Hibernicus is being absolutely impossible at the moment. He wont let anyone leave the Department without vigorous questioning about...that night. And he's had our inquiries team search every inch of the DoM with a fine toothcomb they even found my porn collec . I hope we are all absolved of responsibility as soon as may be. Our intrays are really starting to pile up with all this obstruction in the way of our good work.
This has been the most difficult Imperius Curse I've ever cast. I had to make it very subtle to get under Moody's nose, but I think he was still suspicious. Merlin, that man is impossible! How do you fight paranoia of that degree? Thankfully Hibernicus was quite susceptible, so that lessened the amount of effort necessary. I think I'll plant some evidence somewhere for my little pet-Department Head to find. Maybe with Prudence - it's about time I paid back that little muggle-loving whore.
I have to admit, I'm quite concerned about unforgiveables. Lucius is right, we'll have lost our edge. And I tremble to think of Shacklebolt armed with Unforgiveables. If I was ever to be caught, I should imagine that he'd enjoy paying me back. Just another incentive I suppose; as if I needed more.
