Some little break-throughs

The Ministry these days, is a shadow of its former self. No one stays in the office any longer than they must. The canteen is deserted, and Minister Bagnold hasn't emerged from her office in weeks. We're dangerously understaffed, what with people dying left right and centre. Before long the Auror department is going to have to ask House Elves to man patrol routes, just so they can function.
Plus all the coffee shops around here are closed, so you can't even get a fix of caffeine to calm the nerves.

House Elves would probably be better than the Aurors anyhow. The Ministry is lovely and quiet, especially now Fenwick has gone. Though his work-space stank of blood for ages afterwards. Bagnold's tearing her hair out apparently. Neither she or Moody can figure out what we're going to do next. This is brilliant. Moody's cool headed as usual. He just does what he can, which is cover every avenue he can think of. And his Aurors come back from patrol in body-bags in drones.
I've also got a new informant - his name's Bagman. He's a beater, no station in the Ministry, but he and his family have alot of connections. He's sure to know some good stuff. Plus he's an idiot, so that's always useful.
The guard on some senior Ministry Officials have dropped because Moody's so under-staffed. If there's anyone you want to pick off, now would be a good time to do it.
Also, guard changes in Diagon Alley - Aurors go in twos. One of the pair will be alone whilst the other switches shifts. I think the idea is that one Auror will always know if there's been any recent disturbance and will know which faces to look out for. There's a shift change every six hours.
